OMGOMGOMG I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. I think I love everything about this omg *squees*

I don't even know how to start without rambling so maybe I'll make you a list of over-appreciate things? I mean.

- First thing, I loved the general idea of this. I really like the whole Jimmy/Dean/Claire being a sorta dysfunctional family unit on the run.
- Your Jimmy POV was amazing. God it sounded so him, from how he misses Castiel to how much he loves his daughter and still misses/loves Amelia even if he tries to move on, and how he sees Dean and how he remembers Castiel and what he's now compared to what he used to be. The scene in the church was especially gorgeous but the one where he and Dean shared cigarettes was pretty awesome as well. (And the laundry one was win, really ( ... )

Janie, I'm so thrilled this piece worked for you! I really liked your prompts, and I wanted to give Jimmy that happy sunset ending you wanted to see him get. The idea of Jimmy/Dean/Claire as this family unit thrown together was so fun to play with. I really liked exploring a post-Castiel Jimmy, looking at how the experience changed him and how he sees his life in two ways now -- who he was before Castiel and who he is after. Dean, oh Dean, who is also trying to figure out his way in the world after the war, while wanting to take care of Jimmy and Claire as well -- b/c we know that Dean has that instinct to care and protect. And I definitely wanted to explore how Cas had that big impact on all their lives in some way, how he was the catalyst for them coming together in the first place. And now that they're together, how Jimmy, Claire, and Dean are all helping each other to move on. They had a lot of angst to work through considering their lives up to then, but I do see them as finding a peace and love with each other in the end. ( ... )

There's a thrumming to the world these days, an energy he feels in everything, everyone. He doesn't remember noticing it before. Before Castiel, before the spill of grace into his body. But he notices it now. The song of the morning light as it moves across the water, the symphony of a bleeding sunset.

I so loved this idea, of Jimmy viewing things through a hint of grace! <3
