you don't deserve the satisfaction of being the one who pushed me over the edge

So, I'm doing Harry and David again this year. Lemme tell you, it's a huge change from Salvation Army. For one, I find myself not really caring about the rude, pushy, impatient, snot-nosed fucks who call in and are SOO inconvenienced because...oh my god! We're not offering the 2 boxes of chocolates for such and such a price and the so greedy people who can afford hundreds of dollars on candy and fruit but want to make a fuss about the 2.34 in taxes they'll have to fork over. What the fuck?! I have dealt with people who were really down on their luck. People who were coming here from Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, etc etc. who lost everything and who needed assistance and I handled their case(s) and now....now I'm supposed to be sorry because Ms. Rich Ass Smith who can afford $10 a pear isn't happy because she has to pay shipping?

Yeah, right. Give me a fucking break.

I had one guy today who was calling on his cell phone while driving and he was SO IRRITATED (and he let me know this) because he was hoping it'd be quick and easy...well, he has FIVE people on his gift list...one of them had the wrong address...so horror of all horrors! I was making him pull over...oh what a horrible person I am. Please. I hope you get into an accident - maybe that'll teach you.

Last year, I would've bent over backwards to make sure these people were happy. This year, I just tell them: You know what? You'll LIVE.

That's more than I can say for some of the people who came into the Salvation Army.

In other news, I just found out right now that the cyber cafe is going out of business! Ack!
