Me my NS and I

Aug 06, 2011 22:21

Its seems so yesterday that i was still so having the mix feeling of excitement and worries for my enlistment.
And now here i am feeling a sense of achievement of myself completed my NS-Journey.

YES this is the 1 Years and 10months ago on Oct 8th, which is also the weakling jiamin's birthday,

i can still remember that time and most of my friends are quite worried for me for my enlistment and they are all wondering if YC's able to survive the army. The dark nights, the outfields, the insects that im gonna sleep together out in the field...
Thanks many to those friends, such as, Adeline ,Ci Fang, JOAN, Jo-AN, Maybelle, SEAN TEO (Fat Shit), amanda, Jiamin, Kandis, Apple, Raazmy, and some others , whom texted their regards, its still in my army phone but recently it just drank some water and im unable to turn it on =/
So sweet of my sister whom make me this awesome brownie ice cream for my 1st book out!:)

Falcon Coy, Platoon 2, Section 4

Had my 1st totally botak hair cut  which made me felt quite horrible for sometime =x
Spent my BMT with this bunch of section mates whom really make my days during BMT a memorial ones. Other then the normal army training stuff we do, the epic games and fun we had in our bunk, the scary jockey cap man, bitching about our section and other section commander was how we spent For the 9 weeks.

And they always say you will remember your BMT buddy the most and True enough, i have not only 1, BUT 2 BUDDIES!
Weeter and ShunPing, whom we spent our outfield sleeping in the 3-men basha, I am really greatful that i have this 2 wonderful buddies and we'll still always keep in touch.

After the 9 weeks of training in BMT, i was being posted to OCS for another 9 months of training. The posting to OCS came quite a surprise and the next thing is how am i even going to survive it.
Being put into Sierra Wing, Platoon 3 section 3 and the days Sierra was really my darkest day in my army.
This is mainly due to our well-fair' instructors whom always wack us for anything and everything. The Donno how many times turnout we got, tekan session after every outfield / live firing, cleaning riffle till 5-6am in the morning and going for SOC and Runs in the noon. The 12weeks of service term there is really like living hell and thanks goodness we were all later posted to artillery and especially for sierra wing mates,  we really appreciate training in artillery insitude as there is no more of the 'genna wack for no reason'. A big thank you to friends whom ocassionally drop text whom gave their moral support to me and remind me to hang in there.
 In word and Deed, Sierra!
this is the bunch of mates that survived the nightmare service term with me.
The next part of training in artillery where i kinda enjoyed myself and honestly, in here we use more of the 'brain' then just chiong chiong chiong.
The guys with Big Guns, Arti!

The days at artillery were fun and short and soon before we know we are back in safti for our comissioning parade.
The 3 weeks of non-stop marching and marching and marching finally till september 18th, we have proven our worth.
Thank you to these people and many more for their suppport.

My Mommy and Daddy, i didnt really tell them much about what am i doing in army till the day itself.

Being Posted to 23rd Battalion Singapore Artillery, also known as 23SA, as NSF BC.
Its was really a challenge to take up a 2nd year battery and also in less then 2month after newly commissioned the bunch of us from charlie were told that we were going to have our oversea live firing.
The cold nights, long days, and of course the drinking which really made it an Incredible India.
Soon after that i also went back to Safti for my Advance course. where i met this bunch of nice people too, i have been quite a nonsense and and un-focus for the 1month but these people still make it a great time for me!
82nd CTC, Syndicate 2

Soon after the course and back to the battalion for more work.
The stay at the battalion is quite a busy one for me however my Boss,my peers and the elite gunners in my battery made the time there an memorial and meaningful one.

Charlie awesome Battery Commander, BSM, GPO, BRO and FO

Elite Gunners from the Sky

Also this year we are the part of the nation celebration:)

The day they certified me Operational Ready

To be honest, i dont have the very happy feeling where i see it on the others when they ORD.
I see it as the start of my path to the another part of the journey in my life.
This 1 year and 10month may seem long and short but i really do cherish every moment of it and of course i tell myself i have completed the journey and the friends and buddies i made during this time i'll definitely keep them in my pocket for the rest of my life =)
i would not say that i have wasted 1 year 10months of my life instead that i am proud to went through the 1year and 10months!
There's really so much to talk about it and this is really the very brief of my NS life.
