Hmm...I wonder if anyone reads these anymore. There are so many other sites out there, it turns out, where you can write stuff like this. There's obviously a huge time gap since the last time I used this lj, so I'll try to recap my summer. For starters, it was FANTASTIC. We went all over the place and barely had an idle day from June until the end of August. I got to try things I've wanted to do forever and I got to visit the most wonderful places. I went to Hutchinson Island for my birthday and took surf lessons. I went to New York City for the first time: stayed at a hotel in Times Square, checked out Columbia/NYU, went to the top of the Empire State Building, took the Statin Island ferry just to see the Statue of Liberty up close, bought a wall scroll in Chinatown, ate pasta in Little Italy, saw some celebrities. I had the time of my life. Then we went on the college visits (besides the NYC universities): Brown, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Wellesley, Brandeis, Boston U., etc. We visited Chocolatetown in Hershey, PA and took the trolley tour around the Hershey family's property. We went out to Pennsylvania Dutch country and took a tour of an Amish farm. As if that wasn't enough, we went to Las Vegas before school started and I got to see the "O" show for the second time. I even took a french course before the break ended. Now my glamorous summer's over and it's time for college apps and math tests; swim practice and senioritis. Hell, I can't wait.
