(no subject)
My internship is over and my paper is handed in. woo! I am now a college graduate. Well, if I pass, which I'm about 99.9% sure that I will.
That is the good news. The bad news is that I am leaving Mount Pleasant. Forever. In like 2 days. I'm going home to Escanaba, to live with my parents. Yeah, lame maybe, but the main reason I am going home is because I have a job there. The Delta County Historical Museum has decided to hire me part-time to help out with some stuff. This will be a lot different from what I did over the summer. I think I will start out marking artifacts, photographing/cross-referencing them, and maybe help out with a new exhibit. There's a possibility that this could become a full-time cataloging thing, but it all depends on if the museum can get a grant or not. I know that this museum really needs a lot of help and if the resources are there, I'm pretty sure we can turn things around.
So I'm leaving all my friends, and this town that I have grown to love in a weird way, but at the same time, I'm really excited to start this job. My social life will most likely become extinct, but I guess that's a price I am willing to pay.
