I had to post this - a friend of mine posted it in his journal, and I felt I should echo his sentiment. I believe this whole-heartedly.

but God never said well done my good and perfect servant he said well done my good and faithful.....and i know this: He would rather have a child that struggles than no child at all.

and no matter what you believe right or wrong...be so slow to judge fill your hearts with love and compassion for others especially the one's struggling. they may be blind to every sin but God never stopped loving them, and by judging out of hate you kindly destroy some of the things Christ worked for. ..... all the compassion that you reap on earth will be all the compassion you sow in heaven.

i'm reading a book called "searching for God knows what" by don miller. he watched a documentary where a Muslim woman said, "It was more than those planes that got hijacked. It was the nation of Islam. In the eyes of the world, they took our faith and flew it into those buildings. The damage may never be repaired."

Then he goes on to say, "i wonder if the Christian faith in America had not been hijacked as well, hijacked by those same two issues: Abortion and gay marriage."

Don said that we made God a "poster boy" for all the Christian shout out "kill the fags" or the people who bomb or kill the doctors in abortion clinics. even last week on TV there were Christians protesting homosexuality saying that they would burn in hell, and that hurricanes came to Florida to kill them all...

it's kinda sad that the one we call "Prince of Peace" and our "Healer" is the one that [supposedly] does these things .... which by the way is contrary to everything that the gospel says... "slow to anger and rich in love" i mean the whole new testament is based on a man that teaches love and forgivness.... so i am sorry to everyone. i am sorry for the way i as Christian in the body of Christ has represented my faith, and i'm sorry for all the other people that misrepresent Christ too. i'm sorry and i love you.

it's no wonder that God is so appealing to me...not as a moralist with rules, but as this man that went out to hold and embrace the people this world feared and rejected ...the adulterous, the tax collector, the pagans, the leporous, and every other person feared....and i believe in my heart ...yes even the homosexual, and even the abortionist.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers, principalities, ruler of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. ephesians 6:12

"In war you shoot the enemy, not the hostage." donald miller

these people's minds have been blinded by all these things...shoot the enemy not the hostage.
