As Junpei from P3 would say, "Sup, dudes?"

So, what's been up in internet-land? Y'all just chillin', dawgz?

I've been stressed out about school lately, but other than mountains of homework, everything's going pretty well. I have my work schedule where I like it with the same shifts every week, and I get at least one full day off from both school and work once a week, so that's nice. Of course, I'd like more, but summer vacation is on the horizon, so I'm not too worried about it.

The biggest thing I've been worrying about lately is my entry into the Tucson Japanese Speech Contest. It takes place on April 26, and I've been scrambling to get my speech memorized amidst all of the other stuff I've gotta do. I can get through most of it without having to think, but I need to work on it more before I'll be ready. It's a silly little speech about cats, and how different they all are. My intention is for it to be humorous, so here's hoping the judges see it that way. If you can read Japanese, see for yourself.

Childish? Maybe, but I tried to use various structures that I've learned to demonstrate my knowledge of the language, and I think that'll be more important in the end. I've already sent it in, so while comments would be great, please refrain from correcting. ;)

Oh! I almost forgot. My mom's moving out. I know, WTF, right? Apparently, she feels like she needs some time apart from my dad, and so the two of them amicably worked out an arrangement for her to get an apartment, which she moves into on the 1st of May. She has a lease for six months, but I suspect she'll be back before then. This was all done under my nose, for whatever reason. She thought I was going to be devastated, but are you kidding? I'm rejoicing. Don't get me wrong, she's still my mom and I love her, but I'll be nice to actually live normally for a while. For example, I can sleep past 7 AM without having to hear the vacuum running and the dog barking! (She's taking Brock with her, THANK GOD.) I can have friends over later than 6 PM without anyone getting angry! I can stop worrying about making my bed 200% perfectly the second I wake up! It's like a mini-vacation, and I'm thrilled.

In the gaming world, I've managed the following:
  • Started Crisis Core when it came out, playing a little here and there, but went from the halfway point to the end in a marathon gaming session on Friday. It made me sad, because Zack's so cool, but (assuming you've played FF7) you know before you even start the game that he's gonna die. ; ;
  • Started Mana-Khemia: Alchemists of Al Revis. Which I actually enjoy way more than Atelier Iris 3. It's like Harry Potter, but with alchemy and anime stereotypes! Hooray!
  • Beat disc 3 of Lost Odyssey, putting me on the final disc. I have a ship now, so I can actually explore the world! I'll probably put off playing it for a while, because I know that once I start sidequesting, I'll have to DO THEM ALL OMG.
  • I've been messing around on WoW (I know, I know) because Bryan gave me another 10-day trial. I've got a Blood Elf Warlock to level 13, woo. It's pretty fun, actually, but I still hate the community of 12-year-olds.
That's about it.

I'mma go make some cinnamon rolls. :9
