A sign of the times

While I was in the Chiropractor's waiting room, today, I noticed the employees were all wearing different masks.  I said, "oh, those are so cute, did you make them yourselves"?  They didn't.  One of them had a friend who was making them for hospitals and she made them for everyone in the office.  We talked for a few minutes about how unique and adorable they were.  Afterwards, I was sitting and thinking about the conversation.  If you had told me 6 months ago that today I would be complimenting cute face masks, I would have thought you were nuts.  One of my cousins makes masks for medical people and she made hubby and I a couple and I think they are so cute.  I'm looking for scarfs and old t-shirts I have to make some of my own.  The non sewing kind.  I had to go out and buy ponytail holders and I found myself looking for the different colored ones.  Oh, please don't tell me I'm going to start coordinating them with my outfits.  🤣

Definately, a sign of the times.

I still go to the neighborhood stores and find plenty of people not wearing masks.  Ft. Bliss requires a mask and a temperature check to get on base.  William Beaumont Hospital and the VA Clinic also requires a mask.  Most stores are only allowing a certain number of people in their stores at once.  Someone stands at the only entrance that is open to make sure of it.  There are signs on the floor showing where to stand to keep your distance which some people act like they don't even see.  I'm afraid they really don't.  Lot's of shelves are still empty.

And still some people act totally unaware of any danger.  There was a party in our neighborhood a couple of weeks ago.  I just don't understand.
