Instead of studying, I'm here uploading pictures. As long as the balance in the world remains where procrastinators aren't actually taking advantage of the time they have ahead of them, a tiny rainbow can light up in my heart.
Here are the before pictures of my room before and after.
This is quite possible my favorite picture in my room. I've tried to find it on the interwebs so I can make a recolor of it but have been unsuccessful so far.
As you can see - or not - the wall has ugly peeling texturing from wallpaper ripped off of it long ago. The mess it left behind on a frequent basis was unbelievable.
Here's a better shot, I think.
Sometime ago, I did manage to get the desk area. But I had a lousy piece of sandpaper that could do the work I wanted it to. It seemed like the stuff actually grew back after a few months. O_o;
Some parts of the room never had wallpaper on it, making it faster and easier on everyone. This was also in large part to the fact that the people doing it were idiots.
More signs of idiocy. My central light was essentially yanked out from its wiring.
Replaced with what? I haven't the damnedest idea what that thing is. And you know what the best part is. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH EFFING THING! Men are such fucking idiots sometimes. Especially when they're related to you.
Now for the plumness!
Boyfriend took these pictures because I stupidly took off the flash and the room looked a lot more red than rich plum. But I think the flash is giving it a pinkish tint. =\
Some of my stuffed friends and my monitor hooked up to my non-existant CPU. And what my future kitty, Tangerine, will look like. Hanging lazily off my desk. =) And yes, I actually name the cat Tangerine.
Candid picture shot of me by the boy. But look at how silky looking the top of my head is! :D
My mother's doing in her attempt to remind me I have a vagina. -_-; But who knew all most of those stuffed animals were sleeping me every night. ...That sounds a little slutty.
aikea_guinea:These two are so for Jacob. =P
Ducky-licious.
Camo-ducky!
My turn for candidness...or something.
I'm so artsy-fartsy, I fart art!
And to end where we started, with Trudi Unger's Puppy Love.
I haven't hung anything up yet. My idea for a finishing touch is quotes all over the room. My sister shall be doing them and she's extremely anxious about starting. I have some great quotes from the side bar on my page and some of you gave great quotes in the tagged entries. But I'd love to hear more. I finally have a den I can actually love and want to be in. I'd love to hear suggestions, comments, concerns and criticisms. =)
