Technicalities
Now that the 'puter has decided to eat my entry, let me see if I can get down the jist of it. Thank goodness it wasn't that long.
I need some help with this old computer. taleya, I was hoping you could impart some of your technical wisdom on me. Anyone else who may read this and have an idea as to what to do, feel free to comment. I really do need all the help I can get. =)
1) Whenever I start up the computer, and log onto a user name, I get the system32 folder popping up on the screen every single time. This happened a long time ago but I was able to make it stop. Seeing as how it was a long time ago, I can't remember exactly what I did for it to stop. Any suggestions?
2) Every time I want to turn off the computer from the start button, it would freeze up. The only way I can get the computer to shut down the computer is to go to the taskbar, go to task manager, and then shut down the computer from there. Does anyone have an idea as to why this could possibly be?
angelus_xx thought that there is a possibility that we should just try to reinstall XP. I don't want to do so unless the computer was on the verge of self-destruction like it was about two years. I hate the fact that the brother thinks it's because of The Sims. Last time I checked, computer games don't make a computer want to self-destruct. But then again, the Sims is only inconvenient to him when he needs to blame something. Baka.
