On Monday, I met up with the MRS (tee hee hee), otherwise known as Mark, and we went and hit a few balls at the driving range. He's a pretty intriguing guy. TO help us decide on a place to eat, earlier in the day, he sent me this e-mail, that had abunch of fill in the blank movie titles. I had to fill them all in, guess the type of related food (country of origin) and then pick my favourite movie. Pretty interesting way of doing things! So we went out for Thai food at this place in Oakville.
On Tuesday night I decided to try something new, so Lisa and I went downtown to the drumming circle at Queens Park. It was a pretty cool experience. I loved to see all the people coming together, playing their musical instruments to make a collective sound. Its so moving to hear the different percussion instruments and take part in the rhythmic beating of the drums. A lot of people just sit and linger and watch, while others like to dance (some with fire), or play.
I was supposed to meet my friend Ross there, however, he had some errands to run that took a little longer then expected. He called me just before 11 pm to let me know that he was still coming, however, since I'm a working girl, I have to make sure I get home at a reasonable time to get my rest each night. Oh well, there's always next week. He was nice enough to invite me out to Octapus Night club at college and bathurst. HOwever, I probably won't be able to go to that event.
I ended up running into Greg again this week. He was nice enough to burn me a copy of the "Drummers In Exile" tape from one of their live jam sessions. It was nice to hear it. At one point, it almost sounded as though I could hear a flute playing faintly in the background.
On Wednesday night, Lisa and I went out for a Sushi Dinner, it was really good. I really enjoy going to Yo-Yo's in Georgetown, they make really good food. Afterwards I had Lisa over and we attempted to watch a movie; Lord of the Wars. It's a movie about weapons trafficking, it seemed really slow at the beginning but started to pick up a bit close to the end.
In other news, I thought things were going well at work, until my boss decided to throw in a snide remark. So needless to say, I think I'm going to have to start working a little more diligently, ensuring everything is accurate, organized, and detailed. I need to start getting up a little earlier, and going to bed earlier so that I'm more alert and awake at work.
I think tonight is going to be one of the nights I stay in to do some work (house work).
