So my sister is apparently blaming me for my parents not going to Las Vegas with her for thanksgiving, and for calling her up and yelling at her, when she's the one who called me, twice, to 1)mock my being upset over not being told she'd planned a family trip to Vegas until the night before we're supposed to leave and 2) goad me into fighting with her so she can tell my parents I'm being an unreasonable brat, but whatever. She's a few hundred miles away actually spending time with her kid and I'm making sure I don't fail my classes.
So I spent today shopping with my parents. Ended up buying a really soft Chris Madden blanket at 50% and a cute, sporty rain jacket. Missed out on buying a laptop because I left my wallet back at Davis and thus, didn't have my card on me. Mom and dad bought some stuff too, but OMG. The people browsing and shopping weren't bad, but the LINES. THE FREAKING LINES!!! It felt like a freaking con. (Hina, I had the urge to yell at people to clear the aisles). After lunch, more walking/browsing/shopping, we scoped out stuff to buy tomorrow morning (my parents are insane for wanting to keep going, but kinda smart for planning ahead on the 2-day sale items), and then got ice cream. Then my dad and I spent some bonding time together, dropped mom off at home, and spent a good hour-and-a-half car shopping for mom. We didn't end up buying anything, but cars and soccer are the two things my dad and I can always bond over (well, that and politics, but that's kinda depressing right now). Ironically, mom and I always bond over soccer players' legs. *shrug*
Anyway, I have a schedule of 1 term-paper page written, and 50 Sterne pages read, each day for the next week, plus scene prep for drama class, so off I go.
