Just saw Avatar.... The CGI's were nicely done....yeah, that's about the only good thing about it. I'm kind of ashamed at humanity for praising the movie as much as it has. I applaud Cameron for very clearly trying to send an anti-imperialistic, anti-war, environmentalist message; however, all it did for me was show how romanticized the world can look to a person not used to experiencing exploitation or discrimination first hand. I also hated being able to instantly tell where each piece of inspiration for the movie came from.
