Because of all the robberies, kidnappings, assaults, and general badness happening in Mexico right now, we decided to stay in a hotel in the US tonight and wait 'til tomorrow to cross the border. I feel a little safer doing this, but I slept for most of today and my internal clock is an hour behind this place and I no longer feel like laying down and sleeping. Although I'm pretty sure my dad is going to call and wake me up at like 5am, so we could try to miss rush hour in El Paso and Juarez.
The other problem is that when I got the importation permit for the car online, we were supposed to get it in 7 days. We didn't. We emailed. We got told opps, sorry, we didn't send it in time. So tey went ahead and cancelled that permit and now we have to get one at the border. Problem comes in the form of dad forgetting the current registration for the car. We'll see if we can sweet talk our way through an internatinoal, legal, loophole that doesn't exist. *shrugs*
