[Hiking]: Senkele (near Neuschwanstein Castle) and Hündlekopf - April 17 / 18

On Easter Sunday, after searching for eggs
, I went on a short hike.
Luckily the weather was good. Weekends with good weather are so rare recently, I feel like I'm going insane as I haven't been hiking since Easter!!!
The Senkele Höhenweg is a really nice and easy trail from where you have stunning fews onto Lake Forggensee and also the famous castles nearby, the most famous being Castle Newswanstone (Neuschwanstein).
The highest mountain you can see there is called "Säuling". I still have to hike that one. :D
And although it was the Easter weekend and the weather was good, it wasn't crowded at all.
Something that would never happen near Munich ......
And the reason why I prefer hiking in my home region a LOT more. :)
"Dreischlösserblick" - 3 castle view. From there you could see the castles from Füssen, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.
Unfortunately, no chance to zoom in with my smartphone but I could see them with my bare eyes. It helps when you know exactly where they are located at. ;)
Dandelions are finally out. :D
There was also a tiny summit (I guess just roughly above 1000 m) and the decoration for Easter was so cute.
Just enjoying the view. :)
After the hike, I explored the nearby region a bit more.
Don't ask how many lakes and other smaller waters I passed by.
I also came across my favorite swimming lake for summer .... that's also something I really love about my home region!
Decided to take a photo stop at at least one of the many beautiful lakes, because look at that mountain panorama in the background!!!!
I already visited that lake and surrounded it last year, so you can see those photos here (f-locked).
After the short hike I went to my brother's house to check out my father's new apartment and just look at the view from there!
That used to be the view I had from my room. I miss it so much! T___T ....
On Easter Monday I went to Hündlekopf (1111 m) which is already quite a nice hike as is, but .....
... in mid-April it turns into this magic purple landscape full of crocuses.
It has been on my list for years now, but either you couldn't go because of Covid or Easter was too early, or there was still snow etc. etc. ....
I'm so glad I finally got to go because it's a really beautiful region.
In the distance you can see "Großer Alpsee" in Immenstadt.
The tour took much longer than originally planned as the crocuses were not on the actual tour I planned, but like an 1h detour, but it was so worth it.
Still, I decided to go the entire tour as planned, also to really nice waterfalls:
The Buchenegger Waterfalls are famous in the region and in summer you can jump in to cool yourself off. ;)
And those were my Easter adventures.
