[Germany]: 2019 starts with severe snow chaos!!
Hi again! 
I don't know what happened. White Christmas didn't happen yet again .... and then suddenly a few days into the new year the heavenly doors just opened and "blessed" us with more snow in just a few days than we got the entire last year ........ WTH?
And it's still snowing. It's not over yet. It's so annoying!
Schools have been closed. Trains stopped running. Some roads are closed because trees have fallen onto the streets.
In some regions snow chains are mandatory now. Some villages are completely cut off. Ski tourists have been imprisoned in hotels ....
Even the military had to help getting rid of all the snow ... especially removing it from roofs as they might collapse.
It's not like we're not used to snow. We do get snow. It's quite similar to Hokkaido, though in recent years we didn't get any severe winters anymore.
But having THAT much snow in SUCH a short time (basically within 1-2 days) is just so overwhelming. And we also don't know where to put the snow anymore .......
Driving is also so much "fun" .....
In fact, my car got stuck yesterday on a parking lot. 3 people had to help push it so I could get it moving ..... fun times ....
Not to mention that you have to remove the snow several times a day ......
A lot of people didn't even appear at work. Some worked from home.
At the moment there's no end to it. I really hope it stops soon.
Usually I like snow sceneries, but that's because usually it stops snowing at some point and then you can just enjoy it for many days or weeks .... but right now there's just no end to it. And it's just always grey and cloudy on top of that .... uhhhh ....
I just hope the weather will stabilize soon. And no more snow please!!! We've had our share for this year already! Thanks!
