Hello again!~
So as promised here are a few more photos from my most recent trip to Japan.
I just came back this month, but it already feels like it was months ago. ^^; ....
Here's a small selection of photos displaying what I bought and ate while I was in Tokyo and Aichi:
I went to the Pokemon Center ... I think for the first time ever.
Although I've been to Sunshine City many times in Ikebukuro (there's also a Pokemon Center), I simply never went there.
The one above was in Nagoya.
Lots of cute stuff there, lots of people .... and people of all ages apparently. ;)
I'm not a Pokemon fan, but I do like the cutsey Pikachu series they have. I already got post-its from that series last year and as I use them quite often, I got some more this time. :)
I also needed a new small notebook, so I got this one.
When I already was at Haneda Airport about to leave, I found this purse. I needed a new purse anyway and for some reason I couldn't take my eyes off this one, so ....... yeah. That's the one I'm using now. XDDDD
To make the stationary set complete, I also bought two Pikachu ballpens of the same series.
As I always forget to bring a hand towel (and you really need them in Japan, esp. in winter - because they often have no dryers or paper tissues on toilets). So, I bought this tiny cute one.
Japan is really a tough country for cat lovers ..................... I always stock up on cat items when in Japan. Even the x-mas bags were too adorable, but I didn't buy any.
I bought some shopping bags, memo pads, book stands etc. ... all cat-themed. ^^;
I also stocked up on manga again.
That was in the shounen corner. I took that Attack on Titan photo to tease my brother. ;P
I never buy shounen manga, always only shoujo.
Why? Because I like to WATCH action-themed stories rather than reading them. Also, most shounen series have an anime version anyway while a lot of great shoujo stories never make it on TV, so you HAVE to read the manga.
As always I had an entire suitcase full of manga and doujinshi ............. I have enough to read for the next 5 years or so .... XD
And because I buy it all second-hand and Book Off had some awesome "Black Friday" deals, I got some of them for as cheap as 50 yen ($US 0.50) per book. ^_____^ .....
I also bought a LOT of clothes and accessories. Most of them second hand and again thanks to special deals some were as cheap as 200 yen ($US 2) per piece!! Wow!
I needed new gloves anyway and they were too cute to resist. Those were new, not second-hand though.
I also grabbed this Snoopy bag (second hand).
I already own sunglasses that look almost the same, but this one has cat ears attached to it! How can you resist? (also second-hand)
I also bought a lot of skin care products again - mainly sheet masks ... usually I buy normal ones (mainly Pure Smile). The character ones are often more expensive, but as this was also a special deal I thought I should give them a try.
Last year when I was in Kyushu I bought the Kumamoto bottle featuring Kumamoto Castle. As a castle fan I had to get it. Also, you don't get to go to Kumamoto that often.
In the photo above you see the bottles for Tokyo and Nagoya ... I didn't get them so .... too heavy. ^^;
I had a slight cold on my last day, so I figured I would give these masks a try. You can wear them over night and they provide a herbal smell throughout the night. Worked quite well. Would buy them again. Not so cheap, though.
Also, at Haneda Aiport ... that's how much luggage I had. ^^;;; ...
2 bags with 23 kg each, a laptop bag, my hand luggage (= backpack) with 8 kg and a small bag. Uhhh ....
This time I sent one of the heavy bags from a hotel to the airport, so I would have to drag it around. It was only around 2000 yen ($US 20). How awesome is that????
I did buy lots of clothes / tops. I don't have photos of them all, but I might share them some other time.
Finding trousers is difficult as my legs are too long for Japanese fashion. I don't wear skirts. And my shoe size doesn't exist in Japan. So, I usually stick to tops and accessories. ^^;;
Now, let's move on to some of the uber-delicious food!!
Mr. Donut Japan had a collaboration with Pokemon going on, so they had Pokemon donuts (Pikachu, Pokeball etc.) and if you bought a special set (donut and coffee) you got .....
... a cup and a coaster. ^____^;;;;;
I love Mr. Donut anyway, so I go there every single time I'm in Japan. When I saw those cups, I thought they're cute.
I "forced" one of my co-workers (remember that it was a business trip) to also get a set, so I could get both cups. XDDDD
But in the end only the Pikachu cup (right one) was really cute ... ;P
Super cute mochi at a convenience store ... though I didn't buy them.
Of course, I ate raw fish (sashimi) as often as possible. ^___^
While I'm not a huge fan of fried stuff, tonkatsu (pork) is surely an exception. Especially the cheese-filled ones were super yummie!
I'm not the biggest ramen fan, but sometimes I gotta eat it nevertheless. Though this time I opted for tsukemen instead. ^___^
I also ordered gyoza (not displayed) ... I was really hungry that day.
Quick udon lunch at a food stand. :)
On my final day, I had to eat some sashimi again. It's so delicious and fresh. You won't ever get this quality in Germany.
This was just a small selection of photos, hope you enjoyed them. ^____^
