Hi again!
Just a quick warning, you probably shouldn't have a look at this entry if you're super hungry right now!
Let's start with my flight. I was flying with ANA. I have used ANA before, but only for domestic flights within Japan thus far, so I was curious how well they do on an international flight.
It was a joint flight with German Lufthansa, but completely operated by ANA.
The cool thing is also that I get to collect miles even though it's a business flight! XD
It was my first direct flight ever, because if I have to pay the flight myself it would be too expensive.
As it was a business trip I didn't have to pay for the flight, but yet we used economy class. Business class would have been too good to be true after all, right? ;)
ANA was alright, but I've had better airlines e.g. Finnair or Emirates.
Especially Emirates is a lot better despite the long flight time, because you have more space, larger entertainment screens, a broader entertainment program and the food is usually also great.
For ANA, the entertainment program was a bit tiny in my eyes.
The food was alright, but on the flight TO Japan we were the LAST ones to get our food. EVERYONE around us (even the ones behind us) already had their food.
On top of that the choice I wanted was not available anymore and the food I got was cold ... a big no-go. :(
(Yes, there's a foot in that photo ... Yay for flying with little kids!!!)
Luckily the food on the flight back was a lot better. :)
I watched 5 movies! XD .....
And I was lucky because the 2 seats next to me were empty. Unfortunately the stewardess approached me after only 3h and asked me if I would mind if someone sits there.
I couldn't say no, could I? T_T ...
But it was still quite alright. :D
We had extremely STRONG turbulences once. I've had many on various flights but these were like a MAJOR quake. So strong that all the drinks we just received were spilled all over the place.
The stewardesses were busy wiping it all up for an hour after that. T_T .... Haha! T_T ...
I got to eat traditional wagashi in a Japanese garden in Tokyo.
Look at the cute maple leaves - as always they fit the food to the season. ;)
I got to eat the cutest omraisu ever at the
Ojipan Cafe in Harajuku!
OMG! How much I had missed my favorite Jasmine tea!!!! Drank it almost every day! (*___*)b
And don't even let me start foodgirling about Starbucks! ;)
The Christmas stuff was all so yummy!
I especially fell in love with the hot apple and the gingerbread one! :333
Went all out at breakfast every morning!
Of COURSE I needed my beloved natto, egg, miso soup, tofu, grilled fish etc. ... sooooooooooo delicious! ;___;
We were often invited by our business partners to dinner and lunch.
I can't show you all of it, but they even dragged us to an expensive traditional Japanese restaurant where they served kaiseki ryori! :3
I was busy explaining to my boss what it all was, but luckily he ate all of it and LIKED it! ^___^
I'm so in love with tuna x avocado. I can never get enough of it!
Needless to say that I ate sashimi whenever I got the chance to.
It's been ages (namely pretty much exactly a year) since I last had good sashimi!
I focused on my favorites such as ika (squid). :3
And my all-time favorites are tuna and salmon, of course.
I did mention that I like avocado x tuna, right? ;P
At Nana's Green Tea I got an unexpectedly delicious Azuki Bean drink (hot) and of course yet another dish with sashimi in it. ;P
But I did not ONLY eat sashimi. I also went for gyoza, ramen, udon, tonkatsu, okonomiyaki and all the other things I had missed so much. ;P
Oh, less photos than I thought.
But I guess I've flooded you with enough photos in the past few entries, so it's all good. ;)
So sad that I don't get to eat any delicious healthy food for a while, but at least I know that I'll get another chance. :333
Hope you enjoyed the photos and are not too hungry now.
Bye~chuu
