[Japan Travel]: Spring Vacation (March/April 2011)

I really should lie in bed by now as I have to get up super early tomorrow (4am-ish).
Twitter followers probably already know what I'm going to write about, but here goes:
The cherry blossoms this year are EXTREMELY late like I've already mentioned in one of my previous entries.
I've been observing the cherry blossoms around here every day.
I was completely freaking out when I saw that one was about to open!! .... [/child mode]
As you can see little has changed in the last 2 days and I was thinking about completely changing my trip and go to Kyushu instead where the cherry blossoms are mostly already in full bloom.
I booked this trip to be cheap, if I'd change it it would cost me much more money and I also didn't feel like going to Kyushu in spring in general.
I've also looked into other possibilities like Wakayama Prefecture (Kansai) where the cherry blossoms at least already started blooming so that I would have a higher chance of getting some sakura love this year.
Partly changing my trip, changing the order of the destinations .... I tried everything.
All would have been more expensive ... not to talk about the stress involved to change hotels, trains and everything like 1-2 nights before your actual trip.
I hate being so stressed before I leave.
The same happened before my winter vacation when I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to see Mt. Fuji at all because of the weather and tried to reschedule my original plan (T___T) ... Why, oh why does it always have to be so stressful?
Well, this time it might be my last spring vacation, so of course I'll be sad if I miss the cherry blossoms. Miss? Well, yes. They are probably not out or not in full bloom during my vacation. They will be in full bloom once I'm back to work. After many days of work I'll eventually have a day off or two again, but then the sakura will be gone already. That's why they're so special. They only last for a very short time!!
I've decided to accept my destiny though and go with the original plan.
I'll see what will happen. I can't change it anyways. Let's just hope I'll get some nice cherry blossom photos nevertheless :/ ....

So, I'm gonna leave early tomorrow morning. Still have to pack up a few last things and then I'm off to bed.
Let's just hope it will be a nice vacation!
A lot of festivals have been cancelled because of what happened on March 11th....
P.S.: You've probably already heard about it but it's all over. "Flyjin" - people who left Japan due to what happened on March 11th. *lol*
So, what am I then? A "Stayjin"?? What about people who slowly come back now? "Comebackjin"?! C'mon!!! XD
