[Japan Photos]: Asakusa - Senoji // Kappabashi

よぉぉ!♪

And here is already the next photo post!

But before I start the picspamming, I still have to tell you more about Akihabara.
I totally forgot to mention: Of course we went into a メード喫茶店 (maid café). It was really interesting there! I totally loved the furniture there (it was a little bit like in old Europe, I guess).
At the time we went there, the café was pretty empty, only some middle-aged man and apart from us, another Japanese woman.
The maids were SO cute ... but I have NO idea how young/old they were! I heard that in Japan teenagers are allowed to work fulltime at a younger age than in Germany. Well, Japanese usually do look younger than they are, so I guess that the maids were already of full age (^^').
The menu was interesting as well! Apart from the dishes there was also a notice which said that you are not allowed to give the maids any presents or take photos of them.
If you bought s.th. for over 1000Yen then you were allowed to take one photo together with the maid that served you ^-^
I already posted these photos, but that´s what we ordered in that café:

chochajin: Matcha + milk (^3^) and cake of the day (yes, they really call THIS a cake! XD ...) and like always it was too sweet XD ... but yummie nevertheless☆ミ

hesaki: Huge parfait (although it wasn´t even the largest size! o__O) ... although I helped hesaki we didn´t manage to eat the whole thing (*_*)

It was a nice experience and I would go to one again :D
But IMAGINE something like this in Germany or in your country XD .... they would all be arrested immediately I guess. Young girls in maid uniforms serving middle-aged men food? Hmmmmmmmm ... XDDDDDDD

Okay, that´s all, let´s start with the next photos: Asakusa (浅草) - prolly one of the places with the MOST tourists around!
There are a lot of gaijins in Roppongi and Enoshima for example as well, but those are not tourists, they live and work there, but in Asakusa ... you´ll find tons of tourists!
I think for the first time we really saw MORE gaijins than Japanese people! (^-^') ....

Well, compared to the rest of Tokyo Asakusa is nice indeed, but we just came from Kyoto, so it wasn´t that special for us! XD

Uhh~ nice! And NOOO I was NOT stalking this time!! O__o ... Eh? You don´t believe me? Nande? ;___; ... XD

In front of the 雷門 (Kaminarimon). And in front of that you can also see some gaijins XD As far as I remember they were Americans ^^

We passed the kaminarimon and that´s the view from the other side.

On your way to the actual temple you cross this canopied road with tons of too expensive souvenir shops.

But it was nice to check out all the stuff ... and yes, of course I couldn´t resist and finally bought a 招き猫.

And there were a LOT of people ^-^

WOAH!!!!! Look how mean they are!!! They try to lure you with Yamapi and other JE boys!!! Nice :D

Finally we reached the end of that shopping street and were almost at the temple.

Ah! Finally there: The famous Sensoji Temple (金龍山浅草寺).

And some photos of the surroundings ^^;

Like I already said several times: Japanese people really love lucky charms and the likes. They also seem to believe in fortune telling and stuff like that. There are fortune-tellers even in normal department stores over there! XD

Haha XD .. and this stalking photo was taken by hesaki when I was not around! She said that the green shirt reminded her of the shirt Kimura Takuya was wearing in Pride!! ^-^

I think it was this one?! (^^')

Then we went to 合羽橋 (Kappabashi) because I wanted to buy some plastic food.
This "street" is famous for its products. Most Japanese restaurants get their furniture and more there! It was VERY interesting!!

I wonder what´ll happen if I say your name now :D

Tons of small Tanukis! (*__*) ... Me wants!!

Pretty random shot on our way ^^;

One of the VARIOUS shops that sell restaurant related stuff ^^

OMG!!! Large "umais"!! (*________*)

I just thought that this huge bug was kind of interesting (o__o') ... XD

I had no idea was it was, but I just found out thanks to wikipedia :D
It´s a statue of a kappa ^-^ (something like a water demon, I think)

YAHOOO!~ and finally the plastic food I was longing for! ^^
There´s soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much to see there! It was really great. Of course it´s not cheap, but still cheaper than anywhere else, I guess ^^

*lol* see the English sign on the right? Guess that´s because of really a lot of tourists come there XD

And although I already posted what I bought there, I´ll post it again ;P Here:

Oh, and also I don´t drink beer, here´s the Asahi Beer Hall ^-^;

And something totally random XD *lol* But smoking, playing with your cellphone, reading etc. while you´re driving (your bike) is allowed!! XD ... or not, but everyone does it XD

Camera used:
Sony Cybershot DSC-W1

That´s all for now ^-^;
Guess we have reached half of the photos now .. more or less (^^') ... ahem~

じゃマタネッ(*^-゜)/~Bye♪
