Hey, ho!~
Another of chochajin´s Japan picspams lies ahead of you XDDDD
This time I decided to post photos of Fushimi Inari (if you´ve watched "Memoirs of a Geisha" .. or whatever it´s called in America XD), you prolly already know it ^-^,
Besides Fushimi Inari there will be photos of Himeji, almost only of Himeji Castle. You´ll see that for example "Last Samurai" was shot there ^^; (although Shogun and one James Bond movie ... have forgotten the name though XD;; .... *coughs*)
Hope you like the selection of pics ^-^/
Enjoy~
Fushimi Inari:
On our way to Fushimi Inari there were tons of souvenir shops (of course! XD) .... I thought this kitsune uchiwa was totally adorable, that´s why I took a photo <3
(Note: Fushimi Inari is all about a fox god, that´s why there are kitsune (foxes) everywhere. I don´t know much about it though~ *sigh* *sucks at Japanese religion and history ^^;*
btw. Fushimi Inari is not far away from central Kyoto, you can easily go there and it doesn´t take much time to get there :)
We´re getting closer, yo! ... I see RED everywhere .... o__o;
AAAAAA .... akai ... aka .... argh .... toooriiii EVERYWHERE! Tasuketeeeee~ (;o;)
Japanese people praying at one of the various spots @ Fushimi Inari
I don´t see a red gate, I DON´T SEE IT!!!!! (@_@) ...... *headdesk* XD
Again the wooden plates where you can write your wishes down (this time also with fox faces, cute nee? XD)
... and fox statues everywhere ^.^ I had no problem with that, I like foxes ^^;
Okay, ... I sense .. a LOT of red gates????!!!!! .... (o____o''') .....
Yappari (T___T) ... oh well, so let´s go in and see EVERYTHING!!! ... ahem~
If you´re wondering what is written on the columns, I think it´s ads for various companies, but I´m not sure.
Again wooden fox faces ^-^ .... KAWAIIIII ne??!!!
Again Japanese people praying .... and .... a ... lot ... of ... RED (T_T)
There are even SMALL red gates AAAHHH!!!!! (T___T) ... XD
More red gates and foxes and stuff ... there´s no running away, I guess? XD
WAH, even 2 WAYS to go!!!! (o______________________o'')
And there were stairs EVERYWHERE, it was really exhausting, but the view from up there was sooo gorgeous ^-^;
.... okay, I think this is NOT a kitsune (fox), but a kappa (frog) XDDD CUTE! <3
TEH FIN!~
Himeji:
On another day we went to Himeji which is quite far away from Kyoto, but it was worth travelling there ^^.
This is just a random shot on our way to Himeji castle.
This was taken in the Himeji tourist information center. There were a lot of infos about what movies and stuff was shot there in Himeji.
As you can read this one tells us a bit about the movie "The Last Samurai" with Tom Cruise, Koyuki (<3) and Watanabe Ken (<33)
Cute bus in Himeji ^^
And here it is: Himeji Castle!!!! Gorgeous, ne?
This shows you the whole area of the castle. Quite large, isn´t it?? (^^;) ....
And don´t ask how exhausted we were after that tour! XD
Finally up there ^^; ....
Young school kids in uniform <33333
I really wonder if Japanese kids already learn in their mothers´ wombs that they should make the V-sign when they´re photographed XD
This was taken IN the castle ^^
View out of the castle. It was quite a lot of work to climb up to the last floor XD
... but as you can see it was worth it.
You can see the rest of the castle, the walls etc. ^^
When we were leaving, the weather was getting better as you can see (^^;) ...... (T_T)
We also went to the Gardens beside the castle. It was really gorgeous.
And you could still see the castle from there.
Camera used:
Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 Okay, that´s all for now ^^/
Bye-cha~
