Okay,
it´s time for the BEST thing about Japan: Right, I´m talking about THE FOOD and everything food-related.
Before we start, let me warn you, you will DEFINITELY get VERY hungry after this entry. If you´re okay with that, then please enjoy the pics (^^;;)

Sweets and Snacks:
I´ve already posted this one in one of my prev. entries. Tons of different pockys and other yummie stuff (*___*)
I wanted to try it ALL, but that´s just impossible in only 3 weeks, right? (T__T) ... *sigh*
We bought strawberry pocky. Totally yummie!!!!!! <33333
Traditional Japanese sweets. It´s art, I tell you. Most of them are pretty expensive. I didn´t buy them, only tasted some in hotels etc. ^^;
Again a lot of stuff. And even with ocha (*____*) ... Yah~ I like ocha XDDDD
Daifuku <3333 I totally love everything mochi related, although you can´t eat much of it, you´ll get full immediately XDDDD;
This one was filled with strawberry <333 Oishikatta!~ And here you can see s.th. typical for Japan: they´re packing every little thing extra! XD
Senbei!! (on the left) I totally loooooooooooooove it (*___*) ....
and we bought Kellogs + Müsli (cereals) for breakfast - at the first hotel breakfast was not included, so this was a good choice. In the second hotel we had Japanese breakfast, although only I went there every morning. hesaki doesn´t like rice for breakfast it seems (^^;) ... I too thought that it might be strange to eat rice for breakfast or ... to eat rice 3 times a day, but it wasn´t. I LOVE Japanese style breakfast and I miss that, too (;___;) .....
The most evil crepes you will find and eat in your life. This shot was taken in Harajuku´s Takeshita-dori (of course XD)
These thingies are not only cute, but TOTALLY yummie ...... no wonder that they are so popular among all of the girls (and boys?! XD) in Harajuku ^^
*lol* they have even GERMAN NAMES!!! ... hoho Schloss Neuschwanstein .... (T__T)
.. and EVERYWHERE you go there are tons of omiyage ^^; .....

Suntory mineral water. And yes I DID take photos of EVERYTHING! XD
Green Ice Tea. I personally don´t like icetea, but I love green tea. I´ve tried it once, demo yappari icetea ga daikirai XD
I´ve once tried cold Genmaicha though and I LOVED it, but Genmaicha has really a veeeery good flavor that tastes good even if you drink it cold ;P
I haven´t tried this one, but it looks sooooo yummie ... and everything with macha in it IS YUMMIE!! I swear! ;P
Vitamine water. It was pretty yummie and better than plain water all of the time. Cuz it was really hot, you had to drink a lot anyway ^^;
Macha shake @ starbucks! ME LOVES!!!! Unfortunately German starbucks don´t have this one (as far as I know - at least I´ve never discovered one *sigh*) .... I wanna drink that again!! ;__;

This is one of the bentos I´ve bought in a combini. I totally love these and I really could eat them EVERY SINGLE DAY!!

Like I´ve already written in one of my prev entries, prolly EVERY restaurant / café in Japan has vitrines outside, so you can exactly see what you get, what it looks like and how much you´ll have to pay.
This is sooooo great!!!!! I wish we had s.th. like this here in Germany. This one was in front of a traditional Japanese kissaten with lots of ocha stuff *drools*
*drools* but as you can see it´s rather expensive. We didn´t eat there. You can get yummie and cheap food easily everywhere ^^;
Various soba and udon (*___*) ... I like both. I especially like kitsune udon and cold soba with soy sauce (*__*)V

TONKATSU!!!! Oh GOD how I love this one! Okay, basically I love EVERYTHING, but Tonkatsu is especially yummie. Even if you usually don´t like Japanese food, you´ll prolly love this one :)
Along with the meat you get miso soup, rice and salad :) .... AND of course we drank calpis soda!!! *sigh* ;___; ....

The legendary omuraisu. I think everyone who has watched Lunch Queen wants to try it at least once, neee? It was indeed yummie.
It´s omelette filled with rice and stuff ^^; and you eat it with a spoon not with chopsticks ^^

You know, it´s really mean when you sit in front of your food and it smells sooooo good, but it´s not ready yet (T___T) ... especially if you´re VERY hungry!!!!!!
But it was worth waiting, believe me! Totally yummie of course!! ^^
When it´s finished mayo + sauce (they really only call it sauce, it´s a himitsu what they use to make it btw. XD) are used as topping. *drools*

Kushiyage. Evil food if you´re always hungry like me. You get your food on sticks. Like cheeseballs or yakisomething (enter whatever) ... soooo yummie.
If you´re full, you turnabout your fish, so that the person who´s making the food knows you don´t want to eat anymore XDDD;
Japanese hamburger ^-^ ... with noodle salad and TAMAGO GOHAN!!!!!! <333 (= raw egg + rice + soy sauce = love) (*___*)V

I totally love sushi and I soooo wanted to try the "real thing" in Japan at least once. Finally I got the chance to do so *drools*

As you can see beginning from the bottom, there are the cheap things like tamago and going further up there come the more expensive things ^^;
First: the standard: sake and maguro nigiri -> raw salmon and tuna ^^;

Breakfast at Yumi-chan´s. Her father even went to a German backery, but I told them it´s okay and that I prefer Japanese food. They shouldn´t care about me, I eat EVERYTHING anyway XDDD;
So this was a pretty normal and rather Western style breakfast, but it was nevertheless (XD) yummie! :)
We were ... I think 6 or 7 girls. I was the only gaijin, the rest was Japanese, but ALL of them had some kind of relation to Germany, so everyone could understand and speak German *lol* XD (like some of them studied in Germany etc. but that´s another story ^^)
They ordered stuff the "Japanese way" while I was still busy checking out the menu. When I recognized that they´ve already ordered, I looked a bit like a dork, I guess. Yumi-chan then explained me, that the Japanese way of ordering things is, that everyone orders together various dishes and they are then placed in the middle of the table. Everyone can eat what they like this way ^^; ....
On this photo you can see omuraisu, salad and the Japanese croquettes which are really very yummie btw.
I once went to a Chinese restaurant with Yumi-chan and a Japanese friend of her. Again we were ordering the Japanese style, so everything was standing in the middle and everyone could eat what they liked ^^;

That was our food the last night before I had to leave. Yumi-chan´s parents invited me. It seemed to be a rather expensive restaurant. The waitresses even wore kimonos ^^;

Like I´ve already told you, Japanese sweets and the things you get at cafés are always very cute. Most of the time cakes are very tiny, but you still have to fight your way through them XD ... They´re all VERY sweet!!!
The famous Fujiya (this one was in Ginza).
They have soooooooooooooooooooooooo many yummie things and they all look so damn cute, it´s not fair ;____; .....
Looking at these I really wonder why the German cakes look so plain and boring :/ ..... *sigh*
Of course we didn´t go there without buying s.th. for ourselves and Yumi-chan´s family ^^;;; .....

XDDD Noooo! It was pretty cool and guess what?????????? There was a huge tv screen and they showed DEATH NOTE MOVIE2!!! ....)

Oh ... another Chinese dish. I lied, it was apparently 2 times and not only one time I went to eat Chinese stuff ^^;; haha~ ups!
That was our food the last night before I had to leave. Yumi-chan´s parents invited me. It seemed to be a rather expensive restaurant. The waitresses even wore kimonos ^^;

Café: Cake & Drinks:
Like I´ve already told you, Japanese sweets and the things you get at cafés are always very cute. Most of the time cakes are very tiny, but you still have to fight your way through them XD ... They´re all VERY sweet!!!
The famous Fujiya (this one was in Ginza).
They have soooooooooooooooooooooooo many yummie things and they all look so damn cute, it´s not fair ;____; .....
Looking at these I really wonder why the German cakes look so plain and boring :/ ..... *sigh*
Of course we didn´t go there without buying s.th. for ourselves and Yumi-chan´s family ^^;;; .....

Japanese tiramisu. It´s a bit like the Italian one, but of course way sweeter ^^; .....

This one was in a ... arrr how was it called café in Ikebukuro (you know there were only girls in male suits .... similar to the maid cafés in Akihabara, but it was a café just for girls XD ... a rather strange atmosphere if you´re not lesbian, I guess? XDDD Noooo! It was pretty cool and guess what?????????? There was a huge tv screen and they showed DEATH NOTE MOVIE2!!! ....)
I was not allowed to make photos of anything else but the food, but I couldn´t resist:

Speaking of maid cafés. We went to one in Akihabara of course (photos will follow another time). This is what I ordered there ^^
WOAH HELL! This was soooooo much work and now I´m hella hungry! I´m going to use my new rice cooker and make me s.th. delicious now ^^;
