Panic stations
Excellent long weekend - I had Thursday and Friday off work as I had some annual leave to use up. Had a visit from my Mum on Thursday, for a gossip and a spot of gardening. Friday I drove up to Leicester to visit forest_rose, which was great fun as usual (despite having a bunch of keys thrown at me in the middle of the night).
We headed off to the Maelstrom player event on Saturday, which was highly amusing, especially the dancing (or should I say the'colliding'). One advantage of playing a stringed instrument is that you can giggle without disrupting your playing. Sheevers' speech during the religious debate was also very entertaining - apparently he is happy for his soul to go into the Maelstrom when he dies as he feels it is in need of a good butler and is going to tidy it up.
All this meant that I failed to do much on the dragon costume (red_hiding_hood managed to do some more work on the wings but there's still lots to do), so it's really panic stations now. I'm so glad there is another bank holiday coming up!
