Tegoshi leaned back on an old wooden chair beside the door. He stretched out his legs, hands on his stomach. He was observing his two captives intently. Both of them were conscious now but they were still helpless, one of them tied against the bed, the other against a chair. He smirked. Everything was falling in place. Soon, the rest of those idiots would come in an attempt to rescue their friend. He wasn’t prepared when they suddenly appeared on his doorstep a few moments ago. He didn’t expect them to find his shack. Hell, he didn’t even expect them to still be alive. He didn’t know what to do then but he knew now. He took out a small dagger from his boot. The light from the candle reflected on its shiny surface. Tegoshi stared at it, mesmerized at the power of such a small thing. Yes, he was prepared for them now. Once the idiots are gone, he can have Yamapi all to himself.

Hina decided to sit down before he ended up hitting people. He was pissed. First, there was the crash, then they got separated and there’s that crazy guy from the shack. And now, Okura was missing and they haven’t even found Ryo yet. Hina really, really needed to punch something but most importantly, he desperately needed a smoke. He searched his pockets. There were none. Fuck.

Subaru and Yoko sat on either side of Hina. Both of them put their hand around their friend and patted his back. Maru and Yasu sat next to Subaru, looking down at the brown earth, saying nothing.

“Maybe we should go back to the shack. Okura might be asleep somewhere near it. We all know how he is, right,” Yoko suggested.

Hina stood up.

“Well, what are we waiting for then? Let’s find Tatsu and then Ryo so we could finally get out of this hell hole.”

Motivated by Hina’s speech, Eito stood up straight and walked confidently towards the direction of the shack. As Hina said, they were going to find Okura and Ryo and they’ll get out of here.

Tegoshi walked noiselessly, hiding his small frame in between the large trees. He knew the ground well. After all, he had spent months preparing for this moment. Even though Ryo wasn’t supposed to be here, he’d adapted. Maybe he could blame Ryo’s death on circumstances. He’ll be there when Yamapi grieves for his unrequited love and sooner or later, Yamapi will change his mind. Yamapi will be his. He stopped as he strained his ears. He could hear one of those idiots swearing loudly. He cringed. They were so uncouth. He wondered how anyone could have managed to stand them. They were already quite near to the shack now. Tegoshi had to act fast.

Yasu trudged on silently with Maru next to him with the three eldest members leading them. He looked up ahead. He hoped both Ryo-chan and Tacchon are all right. Maru nudged his arm. Yasu looked up at him. Maru gestured for him to look to his left. Both of them stopped walking. Was it their imagination or did they just saw a figure moving amongst the tree? Ryo-chan! Yasu thought as he immediately ran towards the figure.

“Yasu! Wait!” Maru cried out but Yasu had already run away.

“Shibuyan! Shin-chan! Yokoyan!” Maru called out as he ran after Yasu.

The three Ossans looked back to see their bassist chasing after their guitarist. Even though they don’t really understand what in the world was going on, they chased after the two of them.

Yasu looked left and right. Where had Ryo-chan gone? He was confident that the figure was Ryo-chan.

“Ryo-chan!” He shouted.

He ran forwards, towards a huge tree. Just as he passed it, somebody grabbed him from behind. The person covered his mouth with a black handkerchief.  He tried to fight back, to break away but no avail. He felt like he couldn’t breathe. A sickly sweet smell penetrated his nose. He hated it. But before he could think of anything else, he blacked out.

Maru looked around. There were no signs of Yasu. In fact, Yoko, Hina and Subaru weren’t in sight either. Great, he thought. Now he’s the one who’s lost.  He walked on, thinking that maybe he’ll get lucky and bump into his band mates soon enough. That was when he saw the shack. Maybe he should sneak in again. Who knows, maybe the crazy guy who lived there was gone momentarily. He could use whatever was inside the shack to get help. Maru started running towards it, praying fervently that it wasn’t occupied. With trembling hands and a hopeful heart, he twisted the doorknob and walked inside. He didn’t notice the person who had just appeared from behind the door as his eyes were still adjusting to the dimness of the shack. He didn’t notice anything until it was too late.

“They’re in the shack. I know they’re in the shack!” Hina said with determination. “It has to be the shack right? That crazy guy must have taken them. Come on, let’s go before anything bad happens.”

Subaru and Yoko looked at the younger guy, dumbfounded. They didn’t know how Hina had came up with that far-fetched theory but they know they can trust Hina and his sharp instinct. Both of them looked at each other in agreement and ran after Hina who was walking towards the shack with determination.

Maru opened his eyes slowly.  His head was pounding against his skull. He winced. He tried to touch his head, to see if he was injured in any way but he couldn’t move his hands. That was when his memories come rushing back. He tried to stand up abruptly but couldn’t move at all. He looked down and saw both his arms and legs tied up. Oh dear, this wasn’t good, he thought. Maru realized that he was leaning against something. He thought it was a wall but walls didn’t fell this warm. And what’s more he was facing the wall. He slowly turned his head. Strands of blond hair tickled his nose.

“Yassan?” he mumbled.

There was no response. He nudged his elbow.

“Yassan. Wake up! Yassan!”

Still no response. The little guy’s head was slumped over. He’s going to get a crick in his neck when he wakes up, Maru thought. Maru looked around the shack.

“Ryo! Tatsu!” he exclaimed.

“Maru?” asked Ryo in a hoarse voice.

His heart filled with hope but at the same time he felt dismayed. He wanted Maru to be here as well, to cheer him up but at the same time he didn’t want Maru to be held captive. Okura who was tied to a chair next to him was of no help at all. The drummer had been sleeping soundly ever since he was tied to the chair a few hours ago. He was sure it wasn’t due to the effect of the chloroform. It should have worn off by now.

“Ryo-chan? Are you okay?” Maru asked.

Ryo smiled. It was so like Maru to put others before himself.

“Yeah, I’ll live. You?”

“Yeah, I’ll live,” Maru answered, mimicking Ryo’s voice.

Ryo smiled again.

“What happened to the others?”

“Yokocho, Shin-chan and Shibuyan are out there searching for us. And Yasu’s here behind me.”

Ryo frowned. Yasu was captured as well. He tried to sit up, to confirm Maru’s words but he ended up lying down again. Shit.

At that moment, the door slammed opened. Tegoshi stepped in. Ryo snarled. Okura woke up when he heard that unholy sound. Maru’s eyes went wide.

“Tegoshi? You’re not here to save us are you?” Maru knew the answer but he still had to ask.

The young guy sneered but said nothing. Ryo snarled again.

“Why are you doing this?” Maru asked again.

Maru was confused. He believed the good in everyone. He couldn’t believe that the sweet little innocent Tegoshi he sort of knew would turn so evil. There had to be a solid reason.

“Why?” Tegoshi scoffed. “You guys just don’t deserve to live, that’s why. Running around, shouting at the top of your voice, thinking that the whole place is yours… Do you realize how annoying that is?”

Tegoshi walked towards the bed and leaned forwards, his fringe brushing Ryo’s face.

“Besides, Yamapi was the one who suggested it anyway. He wanted his little Ryo-chan all to himself.”

Tegoshi stood up and walked towards Maru.

“And so he asked me to destroy… All. Of. You.” he whispered in Maru’s ears.

Tegoshi laughed as he looked at his captives’ vulnerable expressions.

“Then you could just release Ryo,” Okura spoke up.

The drummer shivered as he saw the expression in Tegoshi’s eyes. That expression doesn’t belong to a human. It looked more like the eyes of the Devil. Okura shrunk back as their captor walked towards him. Tegoshi put his hand on both of the armrests of the chair. Okura physically shivered.

“Ryo-chan wasn’t supposed to be here in the first place. But now that he’s here, why don’t I just kill him off. The world won’t stop just because there’s one less Kansai man.” he whispered and smiled evilly.

Okura had to close his eyes. He was going to get nightmares if they were ever going to survive this. Tegoshi walked off towards Ryo again. He stroked the older man’s cheek.

“And then finally, Yamapi would be all mine,” he mumbled.

Bang! The door slammed open… again. Hina, Yoko and Subaru stood at the doorway. With the late evening sunlight backlighting them, they looked like Charlie’s Angels - the male version.

Hina looked around the room. His quick brain processed every detail at once. Maru and Yasu being tied down and sitting on the ground, Ryo tied to the bed, Okura tied to a chair and… Tegoshi? What was he doing here?

“What the…”

Hina couldn’t even finish his sentence before Tegoshi was already in front of him - no longer beside Ryo. A dagger was pressed against his neck. He closed his eyes for a moment and the next time he opened it, Tegoshi was already on the floor, Yoko sprawled on top of him as he tried to pry the dagger away from the smaller man. Subaru was already by Maru’s side, trying to untie the thick rope around them. Hina went to Okura, since the drummer was thrashing around wildly. He looked as if he was going to have a nervous breakdown anytime soon.

“Kimi, hurry up and give me that dagger!” Subaru shouted, frustrated that he couldn’t release the knot.

Yoko, who was sitting on op of the wildly writhing Tegoshi, clicked his tongue. He gripped on Tegoshi’s hands and banged them against the wooden floor. The dagger fell out of his grip. Upon seeing that, Subaru quickly went to retrieve it before working on the ropes again. Meanwhile, Hina had miraculously untied Okura and was now helping to free Ryo.  It took a few tries but he finally untied the ropes. Ryo stood up, shakily at first but with Hina’s help, he managed to steady himself. Ryo looked towards Yoko, who seemed like he was having fun sitting on Tegoshi.

“Baru, are you done yet?” Yoko asked in a bored tone.

Hina walked over to help the guy who was still struggling to cut the rope.

“Shut up, Kimi! It’s not like I have to untie hostages on a daily basis,” retorted Subaru.

Ryo walked slowly towards Tegoshi. He squatted down in front of his captor and grabbed the younger guy’s head so that he could see his face clearly.

“Tell me the truth,” Ryo said menacingly.

Tegoshi just smiled. Hadn’t he spilled out everything already? Wasn’t Ryo listening when he was bragging about his plans earlier?  Or maybe he couldn’t believe that his ‘best friend’ put him in this mess in the first place. Somehow Tegoshi found that funny. He started to giggle.

Ryo, ever the impatient soul pulled back his right arm and punched Tegoshi squarely on the face. Ryo felt a feeling of satisfaction then as Tegoshi stopped smiling and fainted. He let go of the guy’s hair and Tegoshi’s head fell to the ground with a loud thud.

“You didn’t need to do that,” Yoko said.

Ryo just shrugged.

“All right, let’s go people. There’s no need to hang around here anymore,” Hina announced.

Ryo stood up and so did Yoko. Maru and Subaru were supporting Yasu who was still out cold. Hina had Okura slung over his right shoulder. Their drummer was unconscious and was sporting a fresh bruise on his left eye. Ryo had a feeling where that came from.

“Are we taking Tegoshi with us too?” Yoko asked.

Everyone was silent for a moment.

“Leave him here to rot,” Ryo suggested.

“We could take him with us and hand him over to the police,” Maru spoke up.

“Without any proof?” Subaru questioned.

Hina made the decision for them.

“Yoko, Ryo, carry him. We’ll decide after all of us are clean, fed and sane.” He looked at Okura as he said the last word.

Reluctantly, Ryo and Yoko carried Tegoshi out of the shack and into the forest. Hopefully they can get back to civilisation soon.

Notes: Yeah... I'm so sorry for turning Tego evil :(. I was kind of freaked out when I wrote out the first paragraph...
I guess I got kind of carried away... So yeah. There's an epilogue after this and an epilogue-epilogue (for the lack of a better term) so be sure not to miss it :).
