Job hunting and Movies
Well I applied for two jobs today, not just the run of the mill 'I need an income' jobs, although that would be handy because I seriously need monies.
They are both set in the fields of which I am studying and training for, one, is based more with disability work and I'm not sure where that's located as the job description didn't say, however, seeing as it was advertised in the local paper, I'm going to assume it's the Hills area. I'm not sure if I'll get it, but I have the qualifications that they are looking for so fingers crossed.
The second job, is in line with what I am pretty much doing now and that is working with crisis accommodation youth, although this time I don't think they are indigenous youth. I'm pretty certain, like 80% certain I'll at least get an interview with these guys and they are set in Murray Bridge which is about 45 odd kilometers away.
Whatever happens, I felt like I've had a productive day and I only hope that I can get some work soon.
I need monies for basic life things, (i.e rent/car payments/phone bills etc) I need it for LIVING as well. Like Saturday, I'm treating myself (I KNOW I SHOULDN'T be) as my first initial outing with friends since I moved here and we're going to see Jane Eyre GOLD FREAKIN' CLASS tomorrow night. I'm pretty excited. Although I've seen the movie before, it was a crappy downloaded version, so I'm hoping it'll be much better.
I think I'm going to stick to minimum snacks though and just sneak in my GIANT bag of Reese's Pieces a friend sent me from the US. :)
