Questions from

My favorite thing? I have so many favorite things! lol Okay, I guess my favorite thing about the series is that they were Australian. I know, and you know, that invading a country isn't just restricted to Australia and I'm sure John Marsden would agree that to a certain degree the books can be applied to any country; but there was something so uniquely Australian about them...the language, the attitudes, the atmosphere and tension set in the book; it's very hard to describe. I like the fact that they were centralized around Australian society, community and culture, because I think alot of Aussies think we're immune to this sort of horror, this sort of war. The books make you think about the reality of the situation and I think thats a good thing.
2. If you could only eat one item of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Such a hard question!!!!!! But I'd have to say eggs, only because they can be cooked a variety of ways lol. If I was going on favorite foods, I'd have to say roast lamb. Nothing beats it.
3. What is your favourite style of music?
This one is relatively easy to answer. I love emotive pieces of music, mostly movie scores, but sometimes I love vocal pieces too, especially those done by Lisa Gerrard or Dead Can Dance.
4. Do you ever daydream about belonging to a fictional world/country?
I used to daydream all the time about being a part of Middle Earth, until I realized that I disliked dwarves and ringwraith's would scare me half to death before even touching me, so as I 'grew up' I've discounted that world haha.
I've always thought I'd love to belong to the Victorian Era, but I highly doubt I would take alot of the 'control' excerted over women in those days very well. If I really thought about it, I'd love to live in the world created by Jean M Auel in her Earth's Children series. Simple. Back to basics. Bathing in streams, living crude buildings or caves where my main purpose was to have a family and contribute to the community I was apart of.
5. If you could have just one wish, what would it be?
That my mum didn't have liukemia. It's a slightly selfish wish I know, and believe me, there are days when she gets on my nerves so badly I want her on the other side of the world, but I would like her around in case one day, I do decide to have a family and she can enjoy watching her grandkids grow up.
