[Review] Super Junior Bonamana

Super Junior really know how to surprise people. First, they started out in a bad boy style for Twins (Knockout) in which the concept caused me to be temporarily scared of Donghae. Then, they moved on to casual-street style during U and Dancing Out. The concept lasted until the remake of Happiness. After that, they moved on to the dark rock concept for Don't Don. During Marry U and Sorry Sorry, they traded hair extensions and jeans for blazers and tuxedos. Then, they adopted the casual preppy look for It's You.

Bonamana concept in my opinion is basically a mixture of It's You and Don't Don. Not musically but based on their attire. Most netizens commented on how the song resembles Sorry Sorry. In my opinion, it's more like Galjeung. Well, it does have a Bollywood feel like Galjeung especially the melody and the beat. The feel was intensified even more thanks to Kyuhyun head shaking (okay, it's not only Kyuhyun but other members as well).

To me, this song is catchier than Sorry Sorry and more addictive. However, people will be singing Sorry Sorry since apologizing is part of life and it's easier to sing than Bonamana. It may have a similar beat to Sorry Sorry and Galjeung though. But, coming from the same songwriter, I'm not surprised.

The downside is that not all members are present. There's only 10 instead of 13. Hankyung has a legal dispute with SM, Kibum is busy with his dramas and all and something happened to Kangin. Mot sure what is it, but hopefully it's not another DUI or assault case. And, hopefully, nothing more serious than DUI and assault.
