I had a really good writing day yesterday: I cracked 30 pages on my Script Frenzy (which I'm digging a lot, and I'll almost definitely be converting into a novel once April's over), and I hit over 10k on my SPN Big Bang (which I'm also digging a lot). I promised myself a reward if I hit 10k, and of course I chose something bandom-related: reading through The Umbrella Academy.
I'll save my reviews for when I've actually finished, especially since I haven't read the second trade before. But even though I read the first trade a while ago, it was before my big bandom fixation and well before the release of Danger Days, so I'm getting all kinds of new things out of it. Like how Grant Morrison has a quote on the cover of the second issue, and how Brian Schechter's thanked in several places. Or how the individual issue titles sound like discarded names from an MCR album. Or just thinking about Gerard writing about a character that has a human head attached to a gorilla body. (I can just see him getting so excited about things like that.)
In other news, I watched the behind-the-scenes featurette from Stonehenge Apocalypse, and wow was that excruciating. But Misha was on his game, as usual, and my childhood Peter Wingfield crush appreciated his presence. Especially when he was talking about the ~spark he and Misha had during their scene. Mmm.
Now, let's see if this'll actually crosspost to LJ.
Edit: It did! My
last post won't, but this one is! I don't even know.
In other news,
an adorable Gerard interview. He and Lindsey are so cute.
