What I think I'd do here is have them touring in Europe - before Bob's actually part of the band, so it's the time he's there not making money - and have their van break down in the middle of nowhere. It's cold, and everyone else has sweaters (they even pile the merch on Frank because they really don't want him to get sick again), but Gerard's not properly prepared. Bob's hoodie is too big for him on purpose, so even though he gripes about stretching it out, he lets Gerard snuggle inside it with him. Everyone gives them crap when they wake up the next morning when they get towed, and Bob gives them crap back to hide the fact that he actually really enjoyed it.

Cue angsting/pining, then confessions, then sex. Maybe next to a fireplace.

I also think genderswap is a pretty limiting term, so any kind of gender presentation AU you feel inspired to do would be awesome :D

I can't help but contrast this with setissma's take on it. setissma wrote two such stories, one Sam and one Dean. In both stories, Dean rolled with it and Sam flipped out. People's differing ideas of characterization entertain me.

Sam notices he's a lot more respectful to women, and he makes less inappropriate jokes about Sam when he grows out his hair a little long or carries some lipstick in his bag.

Can that be canon? Please? I think fanon Dean is usually more misogynistic than canon Dean but canon Dean could do with reducing the sexism too.

I can see it going both ways, really. My preferred Sam is the one who thought about people living a variety of lives because he wanted a different life, and between that and the exposure he got in college, rolling with the differences is not a big thing for him. But then, I can also see Dean being the one who actually lives in reality and has seen a lot more different people on the road than Sam could ever see in one collegiate atmosphere, and Sam is the one to clam up when people don't fit his mental image of what life should be. It's a lot of fun to think about.

I get that impression as well. Either way, I agree: I would really like to see less sexism - even if it's just cutting back on the use of "bitch" and so on - in canon, too.

Frank blames the whole tripping-over-the-sheets thing on his lingering hangover. It isn't until he looks at the hands that keep him from breaking his nose that he notices it.

He grabs the lube and fingers Mikey while he's on his hands and knees. It's weird: Mikey's body doesn't have the muscle memory that Frank's does after years of jerking it solo, but Frank still knows just how fast and how many fingers to give, and the new body certainly has the stamina to keep up. Mikey's pushing back against them before long, probably because Frank knows exactly where to crook his fingers, and the moans coming from his mouth are low and loud. Mikey is usually the silent type in the sack, and Frank's noises are usually higher and more jagged, so seeing a hybrid of the two is kind of the best thing ever ( ... )
