You've really captured the rhythm and feel of a once-colonized Asian city in this one. Love the characterization and the details [food! retirees! tropical heat!].

I was born in Singapore, so I basically ripped off most of my old hangouts for this fic. (I live in America now).

Her cellphone charm is probably a Hello Kitty one. I am partial to Tare Panda (as one can tell from the usual panda avatar I use when not writing fic), but Sanrio's still more popular.
