After the weekend and some fandom stuff
So the Big Weekend was awesome in the highest level possible!
Thursday, when I actually was able to get warm and get comfortable - was all I imagined it to be, talk and… talk. :p
Then Friday - big fest on Saint Martin’s Street - of course we got there a bit late - just in time for fireworks (and the ending of a concert), but the view… It was really pretty, all the lights, the music, synchronized, almost perfect! After the first BAM! a lonely little bird started to fly pro and forth and it was really scared… poor birdy…
After the show we went to the club, then head home. Uneventful, I haven’t lost my keys, my cell, my hat and perfectly safe we got home.
And two more days were sweet and lazy and perfect and I am well rested after the weekend.
Fandom things:
Sekakoi episode - ok, I know I was excited with other things so it was easy to make me bored and I didn’t give the pairing a right amount of focus, but… it was boring! The only thing for me worth watching was the end, when I got to know that the next ep will be about Takano/Ritsu, the 8th chapter! I wonder… will it be the last one? Or maybe they WOULD make it till the 10th? I don’t know, how many of the episodes are there left? How many are intended for Yukina/Kisa? Because next Sekakoi chapter will be Yukina’s case, marketing people should synchro it somehow, like give watchers Yukina in both, the anime and the manga - I think it should be done like this but I’m no expert in advertising manga :)
I’ve checked - it was 6th episode. So… if there are to be 12 of them, 7th - Takano/Ritsu, 8th and 9th - Yukina/Kisa, what with 3 more? For me - two for Takano/Ritsu and maybe one for Yukina/Kisa, please don’t give us more of Chiaki/Hatori, it was enough, ok? I want Takassan :p (love the name!)
No. 6 chapter translation - I didn’t have time to read it, saving it for the evening.
Yoko no Baai translation - oh, yeah, I got to read not only whole chapter 2, but also a bit of chapter 3 - it pays off to not have time and wait, you get it all in one :)
The action is unfolding, chapter 2 was a bit of disappointment in a way that I thought parts of Takano and Ritsu would be better. I now find it more fascinating to read about Yoko and Kiri pairing than Yoko’s thoughts of Takano - and I don’t know why it is. Also, the way of writing is starting to be a bit weird. I don’t like the way narrator is telling the story, too fast sometimes, like she was bored by some parts and wanted to finish them quickly. Also, there’s too much of a dialogue there, not much room for writing about surroundings and stuff, which disturbs the pacing.
The part of chapter 3 with Hiyo - funny :) But… I find her character a bit off, too open, too sweet, too much not like a child. I have to say I love more Ritsu’s daughter from Spring Awakening than Hiyo… I find Haru-chan more believable than Hiyo - it’s weird.
Love stage - funny as always but I have to read it once more - as always I forgot who is who there - my inability to remember Japanese names :) I keep confusing them with some other I’ve read and then I have to always check. For now it’s really hilarious and sweet story but NO yaoi. (Ok, apart from that one scene, hehe, it was hoot!)
Mangafox - it seems one week of forced inability to post was all it took to break addiction and now I don’t even want to post there. At all. I see some threads that are interesting but I lost my stamina to share my POV with others, idk why. Some subjects are just boring, others are juvenile, and I know it’s a way of entertainment and I support it wholeheartedly but… I just lost interest in posting there. Maybe after some more episodes or after Yukina’s chapter… whatever. I don’t like to force myself.
For now it’s all. Christmas is all around, as is winter, I don’t particularly like winter and Christmas is making me… ok, happy but at the same time sad a bit. But Christmas spirit is all we need to become better so let’s share it, and let’s start now! :)
