Photobucket News

Feb 04, 2013 22:34

I was just looking through the new version of Photobucket again as it will be going live by the end of the month. And it appears they have made some improvements to the interface! In other words, they fixed what they broke. :)

Two things in particular which I find very important:

- The ability to NOT have the file names scrambled.

Photobucket has gone back and forth on this issue in the past year. First giving it as an option to scramble if you want. Then making EVERYONE do it with no way to shut it off. And then back to the option only with new accounts having the scramble option on (which you could then turn off). The beta site went back ALL scrambled so I haven't been using it.

As of February 1st the option to shut off scrambling has been added to the beta. \o/

- The ability to choose ALL the pictures in an album and get a link list.

This is very useful for icon posts or any time you have a pile of unrelated file names. And the beta site now has up and working as well! Their help has a nice overview of how to do it. Basically you need to go into the organizer and then select the files. I tried it myself and it works just fine.

And have a picture of caterpillar bread that Chicklet made this past weekend. *g* It's a half white/half whole wheat bread made using the overnight sponge method. And then when it came to shaping she decided on a caterpillar shape. I showed her how to properly shape one of the rolls and she did the rest. Including the face. Heh. (Note: No recipe and no mixer was used for this bread. It came out fine! Bread is not scary to make. Really.)
