Various TV Shows

So, shopping is DONE. Baking is ongoing but almost done for the night. Wrapping is DONE (other than a couple of Chicklet gifts we are bringing with us). Cleaning and laundry are...well...not done. But will be tomorrow before we leave! And I've been working on a tv post since Thursday so I'm going to post it.

I have a little tv roundup of some of things I've watched recently.

Leverage

I have to say that I wish I was more upset that next week's episode may very well be its last. I really LOVED last season - it had a rather shaky start but it pulled together and ended up with some of my favorites of the series. However, this season seems a little paint by numbers so it might be a good time to end it. And I hear that they are ending this run of episodes with the series finale they had always planned. Where do you go from there? I guess you can but I've never found it to work all that well.

Rizzoli and Isles

I enjoy this show but don't have too much to say about the individual episodes. However, I do NEED to talk just a little about Love the Way You Lie! It's about the twist which solves the case so I'll put it under a cut. It's also something...well let's just say that we had to pause the dvr to laugh for several minutes. *g* It's probably only going to be funny to me but I need to share this. Okay. We (my husband and I) were watching the episode a few days ago and it was going along fine until we were informed that the sticky substance found at the murders could only have come from the top of Mount Greylock so the murderer MUST have been an EXPERT CLIMBER. Tallest mountain in Massachusetts! Sounds impressive, right? No. Not so much. Mount Greylock is quite pretty but not only is it a BEGINNER mountain (I've climbed it! I've always been a TERRIBLE hiker - slow and clumsy. In fact every Columbus Day many people from the surrounding towns have a party and hike it.) but there are ROADS to the top. Very nice roads which they recently fixed up. So...all you need to get to the top of Mount Greylock is a moderately decent car. Or a bus. Or be able to walk four miles uphill on a rather lovely and gentle trail. (There are steep trails as well but no one NEEDS to use them unless they want to.) There. I got that off my chest. :D

Person of Interest

Everything I want to say about PoI is a spoiler so under the cut it goes! Damn, they really know how to write a cliffhanger! They have had a very excellent ones already on the show and this one had me flailing a bit. *bounce* FBI guy CAUGHT him but he doesn't know which one is Reese! His luck was going to run out someday and this was the day when it just about did. Now he needs to get back away before the FBI figures him out. (Oh...and I would like to say that I LIKE FBI guy quite a bit! He's competent, seems like a good guy and - let's face it - from the outside Reese looks very shady.)

One point of luck still in his favor is that FBI guy has brought Carter on board. I hope they can have her help while not making her look incompetent or shady herself. Speaking of shady, I'm disappointed about her love interest! I wanted her to have nice one not an HR one! At least Fusco is looking out for her.

Elementary

I also caught of up on Elementary and saw last week's episode. *flails* I loved this episode! I think I've fallen for the characters to the point where I just want to spend time with them. I loved Joan's family. I loved her chat with her mom. I loved Sherlock being able to explain to her family just why being a sober companion is valuable and then show them where her true passion lies. I loved how he talked about how they were the same, not like her family who are conventional, but that they fit together. I loved just-been-fucked Sherlock at the beginning of the episode. I loved how Joan REALLY did not want to know. I loved him bringing her breakfast in bed. I loved his tantrum about the safe. It was ALL GOOD. :D And I have icons which I'm going to post, dammit, even if it is the Saturday night before Christmas and no one is even likely to notice them. They are done and I love them and that's enough for me.
