Life is back to normal here with Chicklet back at school today. \o/ I even managed to knock a few things off my todo list.
Fandomy things:
White Collar:
I had to fast forward though much of the episode because it made me SO uncomfortable watching Elizabeth investigating. Please don't do that again show. *shudder* I LOVED her in the first episode, staying in control and getting out but this time it didn't work for me. Also, just going from the two episodes so far, I'm amused though that last season's arc has been thoroughly disposed of. Yes, I know there is a parole hearing and a few comments about it but basically: RESET. Oh, well. It will continue to be my light, fluffy show of pretty people.
Burn Notice: I recently deleted a pile of episodes off my dvr since I hadn't bothered watching them for months now. I guess I just don't care much about the latest antagonist and how they will defeat him. There has been too much 'let's yell at the mark until he capitulates' (And why the hell doesn't the mark shoot them? I would with all that yelling.) lately and not enough actual thinking going on.
Picspams and Graphics: The picspam Part II of Much Ado About Nothing is in process and I should have it in a couple of days. Looking over the caps, there is much prettiness to enjoy there! I'm also working on my picspam for OUAT Episode 3 - Snow Falls. Also much prettiness. *g* And I have a pile of OUAT icons all done that I'll be posting tomorrow morning since I need to get to bed now.
Robert Carlyle: I'm continuing to watch All The Carlyle things I can get my hands on and right now I want to talk about one of them - Face. *flails* I LOVED it. I've already watched it twice and I have the DVD on order. It is that good.
Isn't he pretty? Yum.
Face is one of the movies that Robert did with Antonia Bird (the others being Priest and Ravenous) and I loved right from the opening credit sequence of two men in a car, driving at night, neither one talking while Everything Has a Price to Pay plays over it all. Just watching that I knew that it was going to be a beautifully done film and I wasn't disappointed. Robert's character is the center of the movie and he gets the bulk of the development and focus. We know who he is, what he wants, and where he is in life. Everyone else is less central but I found that even the minor characters had a moment where we could get to know them. One note: It's a crime film so there is violence but I didn't find most of it to be very graphic (though there is some).
