So press night for Much Ado About Nothing has come and gone to (mostly) very positive reviews! And even the reviews that weren't as positive still had wonderful things to say about David's acting. According to the reviews he is charismatic, brings an electrifying lucidity, has impeccable delivery, a gloriously engaging portrayal, and invests his lines with a mixture of quicksilver wit and wiry physical excitement. Nothing I didn't expect considering who we are talking about! (Catherine unfortunately fares less well in the reviews, she is liked but not as loved, though her chemistry with David is widely acknowledged.)
Isn't this picture so adorable? *squee* So much chemistry even in a still!
One thing I found amusing was how many critics commented on DT's accent (OMG, He's SCOTTISH!!! Hide the children.), mostly that they liked it but one reviewer felt the need to describe it as angular, though he almost forgives him for it. :D
The Independent: It would be hard to conceive of a more gloriously engaging portrayal of Benedick than the one David Tennant is now offering in Josie Rourke's production of Much Ado About Nothing...Revelling in the hilariously sarky, sceptical music afforded by his native Scots tones, Tennant seems to subsume the functions of stand-up and top-flight classical actor.
Telegraph: Tennant, an old hand at Shakespeare, brings a fine mixture of wit, cynicism and sudden love-struck wonder to Benedick, speaks the language with Scottish-accented clarity, and proves highly sympathetic but never ingratiating.
Financial Times: Tennant, who plays Benedick in his natural Scots accent, is more wry, but unafraid to charge into all-out pillock-mode by, say, appearing in Act Two’s masked ball scene in drag or accidentally daubing himself with paint during the eavesdropping routine.
Daily Mail: The gulling scene when Benedick eavesdrops on his friends is done with gusto. Mr Tennant has fun with a pail of white paint. One almost forgives this Benedick his angular Scots accent and Mr Tennant shows he is not above making himself look a mess.

And in Fright Night news, I love this article:
David Tennant Will Be the Breakout from 'Fright Night’!
But let’s be frank: The real breakout of this flick will be David Tennant, likely the biggest scene-stealer and wit of the cast whose appeal as both a charming ham and keen dramatic actor will be on full display.
Perhaps that's why there are rumors swirling about that Dreamworks wants him to
star in Fright Night 2. Now, when can we get more promo pictures of him and some love in the trailer? I can understand not focusing on him since most people in the US don't know who he is (yet!) but I think if he is that awesome in the movie they could talk him up a bit more.
