Thanksgiving Poll
Yesterday's mini Thanksgiving dinner came out well! Everything was tasty and everything finished about the same time so it was all hot together. \o/ Chicklet looked over all the dishes on the table and pronounced it a feast. Jay wondered why I was going through all this trouble when actual Thanksgiving is next week and we'll have all this food again. I informed him that I'm not in charge of Thanksgiving so it doesn't count, he should eat and not complain, and to pass me the wine. :D
A few things I learned yesterday:
• Challah bread works really nicely for bread stuffing if you want it to hold its structure.
• Big, fat sweet potatoes take about 2 hrs to cook. Lucky that I put them in early!
• Cider and brandy make excellent additions to a gravy.
A question! Mostly for USians since it's about Thanksgiving. Though anyone is welcome to pick their favorites from what is on the list.
