This may be the first real update in eons and eons.
Tonight was weird indeed. After an extremely boring day, I headed up to Barnes and Noble to find a screenwriting book to help inspire me. Who woulda known it would be the night everyone would come out of the woodwork. First I saw Michael Schnekser, an old friend and member for the old crew. I probably hadn't talked to him in about 2 years, seeing as how I gave up a few summers back because I was the only one making any effort. It was an awkward conversation and he made no attempt to even pretend he wanted to stay in touch after this random occurence. Next, I happened upon Kenny and Donald. In light of recent events, which will go undescribed here, I completely ignored them. Then I saw Jim with his wife shopping for books. After that I headed over to Chris' house for Adult Swim. I saw this commercial for "The Buzz" cd comp that contained the "hot songs" of the 90's alt era. The only good thing about today was that I finally downloaded the Marathon open source program and got it to work. Holy Stanley's electronics class!
All of the weirdness of the day has gotten me thinking. Life is a complex animal, even when I really have all my basic needs met and have nowhere near the problems of lots of other people the world over. Still, solving the mystery of life can be puzzling. When did going to bars become the measure of maturity? How can I settle for merely going to work everday, going home and relaxing, going to sleep, then waking up and doing it all again? Work to live to die. Thus is the drone of life. Well I refuse to let this happen to me. I will do something thats exciting and hopefully makes a difference. I will use my brain and be proud of the work I do and what I create. I refuse to live for the sake of living.
Watch out world, cuz here I come.
