(no subject)
Birthday tomorrow!
I've been on night shifts at work for the past month. Usually a night shift is 33 hours, three nights, but due to LOL UNDERSTAFFING it's more often four nights which... hurts. I've been off this week, but I'm back in doing four nights next week. After that I'm supposed to be back on days buuuut...
I don't think it's going to work out like that.
I'm off again from the 11th to the 20th because I'm going to Brum. ... I can't remember when I was last down there, but it was a while ago. I booked that off on the day they asked me to go on nights, got it all signed and approved. Since I'm supposed to be back on days then and no one else had that couple of weeks booked off, I was all clear for it.
Then I got a phone call last night asking me to cancel it because one of the girls on nights has that holiday booked.
There's no reason to ask me to cancel my holiday to make way for a night staff member's holiday unless they're planning on me staying on nights a bit longer.
I'm not sure about that idea.
On the other hand, nights are far less stressful and the boss isn't around. I dunno. We'll see.
Also right now, I want to put a boot up the ass of the postal service. Jim sent me BBS via recorded delivery for my birthday. That was last saturday. It's still not here. I WANT MY GAME, DAMN IT.
I've been churning out fics for gryffinderps lately, aaaaand I have a reserve on Isa at TST. I'm nervous about apping there again because I got so fucked around last time, but there's been mod changes and the whole game has changed since I was there, so we'll see. If it goes well and the game goes well I'll look at Xigbar for Serenity. If not... Well, I won't be apping at TST again any time soon. We shall see.
