I'm up past my bedtime after following the lead of impulsezip and checking out trustflow II. Impulsezip comes up with all sorts of nifty lj statistics and trivia, with special software he has developed just for that purpose, and can tell you who the 25 people on lj you have the most interests in common with if you ask real nice.

Anyhow, I decided to scan the first page of entries by each of the people trustflow told me were *near* my friends list. I added several of them, knowing that I might be overlooking some kindred internet spirits by judging their books by the cover, so to speak. If you look at the complete list, feel free to recommend journals to me.

And in case anyone is doing this back to me, here are some random items of note about me:

1. Today I went to Goodwill to return a couple items and left with a handful of children's picture books, giant body part flashcards, a tiny straw bag with a bunny playing a guitar, a complete set of vintage kitchen storage canisters, an "ether" photo frame that lets of "float" photos at varying depths between sheets of glass, and a huge bag containing the remnants of what was obviously a lovingly and carefully kept collection of vintage buttons and beads.

2. At this very moment I am listening to my ipod. Since I have not figured out how to make playlists it is playing my 200 or so songs in alphabetical order. Some of the artists and bands I've heard so far: Wanda Jackson, Small Faces, M.I.A., Os Mutantes, Justin Timberlake, Death Cab for Cutie, Solex, Octant, Sweet, Marine Girls, Takako Minekawa and Tarnation.

3. I'm taking my first trip abroad to the UK this Spring. I will turn 36 while I am there. I will also visit Turkish baths, go to a football game, eat Indian food, host an event at a 300 year old horse hospital, see the Cerne Giant and his 26 ft. phallus, and go to a carboot sale.

4. I don't like days to end, so I usually stay up too late and regret it in the morning.

5. My idea of hell, well, one of them anyway, is a 10 day silent meditation retreat.
