ok its time for me to be the usual smart-ass devils advocate....

1. it was six years ago, dont you think times have changed somewhat?
2. How was he killed...by who...whats the "rest of the story"

hmm i suppose those are my only questions... besides... i dont know...hmm....what is this silence you are talking about? and do you have any suggestions on stopping it?

Matthew had been lured from a campus bar shortly after midnight on October 7 by two men who told him they were gay. He was driven to a remote area near the Sherman Hills neighbourhood east of Laramie, tied to a split-rail fence, tortured, beaten and pistol-whipped by his attackers, while he begged for his life; he was then left for dead in near freezing temperatures. A cyclist who found him on Snowy Mountain View Road at 6:22 pm, some 18 hours after the attack, at first mistook him for a scarecrow. He was unconscious and suffering from hypothermia. His face was caked with blood, except where it had been partially washed clean by tears ( ... )

yeah... you definitely needed to include that part in the whole thing. i wouldn't have even thought of joking if i had read that. they should have at least not been such asses about it, if it really was they're intent to kill him because he was gay, they should have killed him, not... mutilated him. (that really was intended to sound positive, and it didn't at all.) but yeah, if you are that insecure that you have to beat a defenseless person, in cold blood, and then leave him there alive, you ought to be lit on fire. well, maybe they just ought to be lit on fir for their motives, if they had a good reason to kill him, then it may be different.

Times have changed, indeed...

for instance, our president has started tearing down the boundary that stands between church and state. Not a healthy move for homosexuals.
