The nice boyfriend went downtown to come pick me up and even dropped a friend off along the way. Unforeseen traffic and last minute beer garden plans made us late. The boyfriend likes his car. Unfortunately his car is hard to find parking for. Circling a several block radius around Maxwell's I started to get a bad feeling that we were going to miss the show and it was all my fault. The boyfriend finds parking. We speed walk a few blocks and head into the venue. We make it just in time. Mike Watt powers through a great set. Annoying photographers who are flash-happy force me to take a cigarette break and miss the last song.
