Oliver was supposed to be back in Star City by now, but he didn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Not that she was complaining, the thing with her powers had really freaked him out, and honestly, it had freaked her out too

"Good. That works out well, then." He studied her for a moment, still gently holding onto her wrist. He looked down, then back up at her, exhaling softly. "We need to talk, Chloe."
With a deep breath, she shrugged a shoulder and nodded, "I know." She knew this was coming and she had given it some thought already, at least, she had a plan.
Well, he hadn't seen that coming. Not by a long shot. "Okay," he answered, nodding a little, his eyebrows furrowing the tiniest bit. "Just tell me when you want to leave, and we'll go."
Nodding, she pursed her lips together, crossing her legs over the couch, "it might need to wait until after Christmas, I have finals and everything, but I figured if anyone can give me answers, it's her." She shifted uncomfortably and glanced at him before looking back at her lap.
He fell silent for a long moment, then reached over and gently rested a hand on her shoulder. "Chloe, I'm not sure how many answers your mom can give you," he said softly, concern clear in his expression.
"I know," she shrugged a shoulder but didn't look at him, "but she's in some kind of a coma, she's not dead, she can still hear me, maybe she can... move a finger or something, I figured I could try."
Pursing her lips together she hesitated before looking at him, "and maybe... you can have someone see if they can figure out the serum that she needs? Then I could talk to her, ask her everything."
She knew her mom didn't want to, she knew it was dangerous, but it was the perfect excuse to talk to her again.
Oliver hesitated. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything you want. He understood what she was asking, even understood why. But it didn't make him feel any less unsettled about the possibility.
"I'll start going through everything we have from Lex's facilities, see if there's anything concrete to go on," he told her after a moment.
She watched him for a second then nodded, taking a deep breath and looking back down at her lap, her chest tight at the possibility of talking to her mom again, but she wasn't going to let herself get her hopes up too high.
