He glanced at her as she stepped into the room, and he muted the volume on his computer before she could hear the music from Tetris playing. "Hey. How was class?" he asked, rising to his feet and shutting off the computer screen.
"Boring. Have I mentioned I hate ethics and that's why I don't plan on having any as a journalist?" She rolled her eyes, setting her purse and laptop bag down on the kitchen table then walking over to the couch, "what were you doing?"
He arched an eyebrow at that. "Right. Chloe Sullivan, the ethic-less journalist. I'll keep that in mind for future reference." He offered her a bright smile. "Just a little work."
Damnit. She figured ordering food would buy her some time, and she had been wanting pizza too, without much of a choice, she sat back down next to him and nodded, "good, that's exactly what I wanted."
