7s_prompts prompt: I'm gonna regret this, aren't I?
(OOC: Okay so... Ollie!Mun challenged me to write this. This is canon for all my current Chloes, except Quiver verse. This is, in my head, how Chloe's first time happened when she was sixteen, with Jimmy Olsen and it's completely from her point-of-view. Feedback is greatly appreciated.)
He was nervous. She could tell by how sweaty his palm felt against hers, it was endearing, really. She supposed that's what it felt like to have someone like you more than you liked them. Lois would say that was a good thing, that way, if it didn't work out, it wouldn't be your feelings that would be hurt. And Chloe was tired of getting her feelings hurt.
With everything else that was going on, with Clark just deciding to vanish on her then finding him and having him treat her the way he had. Like he hated her so much, he could kill her. He didn't even look like Clark and...- No, she wasn't going to think about him, not anymore. She was tired of having everything be about Clark, which was why she was with Jimmy.
Jimmy was a nice guy and cute too, in a bowtie kind of way, but the best thing about him? He paid attention to her. He listened to her every word and asked her questions he seemed to really want to hear the answers to. Whenever he wrote something, he came show it to her, ask her opinion on it, same with the pictures he took (which were usually better than his stories), like he cared about what she thought.
Chloe figured those were all good things, she had never really had a guy pay attention to her like that. Those things always seemed to happen to girls like Lois or Lana, never to her.
Which was why, when Jimmy came to invite her to go try to sneak into a club with all the other interns, she agreed to it, even though she was supposed to go to a college party with her cousin. She figured maybe spending some time with Jimmy outside of the Planet could be interesting, maybe if she got to know him better, she could like him back the way he seemed to like her.
And it had worked. Kinda. The older interns had sneaked them drinks, and although Chloe wasn't drunk, it seemed to have helped Jimmy gain some confidence, so much that at one point, when they were all dancing, he'd kissed her. He wasn't a bad kisser, a little sloppy, but still, not bad.
A couple of hours later, most people were leaving, it was a Thursday after all, and they all had to be at the Planet in a few hours. And that was when Jimmy insisted he would walk her home, even though the place he was staying was half way across town. She supposed that was nice of him, gentlemanly or something. So she let him.
Which was why they were walking back now, his sweaty palm against hers as he asked her all kinds of random questions all the way to her cousin's apartment, well, her uncle's really, but he was always out of town.
They stopped at the bottom of the stairs and turned to face each other, Chloe, who was completely sober, and Jimmy, who wasn't just as sober. She smiled at him, "hm, thanks for walking me home."
"That's what guys do." He grinned, clearly proud of himself and she couldn't help but grin back, only for a second though, because next thing she knew, his arms were around her and he was kissing her again.
She returned the kiss and realized that, after a moment, it got less sloppy and a little more firm, she paused for a second then kissed him harder, trying to see if it could get better than that, maybe he just needed to feel like she was okay with the whole thing, he had been the one hitting on her and following her around so far, maybe if she showed him she was interested too, it would help things.
And it seemed to have worked because suddenly her back was against the building and his hands were everywhere and although she wasn't sure he knew what he was doing, it didn't feel bad, it actually felt good sometimes, besides, when they broke the kiss to breath, he actually looked at her with a big smile on his face, like she was the best thing ever.
"Do you wanna come upstairs?" The words were out of her mouth before she knew it.
A couple of minutes and a lot of stumbling and fumbling later, they were in her little cousin's room, Lucy was studying in Europe so Chloe always stayed in her room when she was in Metropolis. Once they were in it, clothes started being discarded, and next thing Chloe knew, he was fumbling with a condom and then... pain.
A lot of pain.
But then it was done. Not the pain. He was done. From what she had heard, it was supposed to feel better after a while, but she hadn't made it that far, apparently. Or he hadn't. And then he was just laying on her for a long moment that Chloe was sure would forever be the awkwardest moment of her entire existence. Thankfully, when she tried to shift, he took the hint and rolled to the side.
When she finally got him to leave, he didn't look hurt or upset at all, he looked like he had experienced nirvana and seemed completely oblivious to her discomfort.
She was glad at least one of them had seemed to enjoy the experience because all she wanted was a shower and to wash those sheets before Lois got home and saw the blood in it. Chloe was a smart girl, she knew first times were supposed to be painful and usually awkward, she had research enough about it and had, for a while now, decided to just get it over with so she could get to the good part.
Except she had expected to enjoy herself at least a little.
And it didn't take a genius to figure out that that had been Jimmy's first time too and he was really nice and he hadn't pushed her into anything at all, but he had some serious research to do.
Maybe she was going to send him some links when they got to work the next day. She knew it was going to be awkward one way or the other anyway.
