When Chloe woke up, she was in her bed, her memory hazy for a few seconds, it looked kind of dark outside, but it didn't sound like it was early in the morning, the traffic in the distance outside, it sounded more like rush hour than anything else

Oliver paid the delivery man a few moments later and carried the pizza to the table, inhaling the scent and nearly groaning. His stomach growled as he set the box down and opened it. "Well, let's hope it tastes as good as it smells."

Chloe raised her eyebrows and looked at his stomach, "if you're as hungry as you sound, I think it will taste like the best pizza you've ever had." She pulled one of the chairs and sat down on it, placing her pills on the table as she did.

He smirked at her. "Cute. Make fun of the playboy." He sat down and pulled a slice of pizza from the box, taking a bite before setting it on his plate.

"I would never," She grinned, picking up a slice too, "did you not have lunch?" She asked curiously, since she had no memory of even getting back to the apartment.

"Yeah, right." He gave her a look and shook his head a little, taking a drink of soda before answering her question. "No, I didn't, actually."

"Well, no wonder you are hungry, then." She took a bite of her pizza then opened the bottle of pills, reading the side of it before taking one, she then paused and cocked her head, frowning, "you paid for everything, didn't you?"

Even though he had a pretty good idea of exactly what she was talking about, he figured feigning confusion was his best option. "Pizza's not that expensive."

With a roll of her eyes she shook her head, "you know I'm not talking about the pizza, Oliver. I have insurance, you know? I probably wouldn't have had to pay for any of it... and I appreciate what you did, but you really didn't have to."

"Just think of it as League benefits," he told her with a slight shrug, looking up at her. "Seriously, Chloe. It's not a big deal."

She knew it wasn't a big deal to him, but she still felt bad about him paying for everything, especially since this whole thing had been her fault anyway. She thought it was better to let it go, though since there really wasn't much she could do about it anyway, "thank you." she met his eyes when she spoke, just because she didn't agree with it, it didn't mean she wasn't sincerely grateful.

He met her gaze and smiled a bit. "You're welcome." He lifted his pizza to his mouth again and took another bite.

They ate in silence for a while and by the time she was done eating, Chloe was already feeling the effects of the medication, "are you patrolling tonight?"
