Look, I know it's dangerous but it's either exposing them as much as I can and hoping the police will do something about or at least they will think something will be done about it or let them keep getting away with everything they already do.

Besides, you already have the guys following me anyway, if they try to get anywhere near one of us, we'll be prepared this time.

I'm not mad about you writing the article, Chloe. It would be slightly hypocritical of me to be pissed at you for doing your job and going after the bad guys in your own way, don't you think?

A little advanced warning would have been nice. And I couldn't care less if they come near me. I'm not the one they're after.

You were already freaked out enough by everything that happened, I didn't even know the article was going to get published, it wasn't supposed to come out until tomorrow but when I turned it in, my editor approved and wanted to run it right away through the website.

Yeah, I was freaked out! The woman I'm in love with was kidnapped and almost killed. How was I supposed to react, Chloe? How would you react if something like that happened to Lois?

I have serious doubts they even know who I am. Don't try and divert my attention away from the real matter at hand.

I'm not saying you were wrong in reacting the way you did, I'm just saying I didn't want to make it worse when I didn't even know if the article was going to get published or not.

Oh come on, Chloe. We both know your editor is going to publish anything you write that's grounded in facts, and we all know this is. It was just a matter of when.

That's not how it works, especially not after the repercussions on my last article in this subject. The Planet is responsible for all of that and I didn't think I was going to be able to get because of the insurance issues alone.

If I knew for sure it was going to be okay-ed, I would have told you.
