Since they got back from their trip, Chloe and Oliver didn't really have time to go on dates, not that it really mattered, they had spent a lot of time together since Chloe was still staying with Oliver since her kidnap

Chloe frowned hard at him, now he wasn't making any sense, "I don't have problems asking for help when I need it, like I did last week when I didn't feel safe being here by myself, but things have gotten better since and I think you need to calm down."
A knot formed in his stomach at her words and he momentarily wondered if he was overreacting. Then an image of her being dragged away at gunpoint flashed through his mind and he shook his head, turning away from her and shutting his eyes. He raked a hand through his hair, his shoulders tense. "Gotten better for you maybe," he muttered.
At that, she paused, for a second wondering if maybe this wasn't all about her safety. Chloe took a deep breath and sighed, willing herself to calm down, "what do you mean?"
He turned to look at her once more, his expression clouded with so many emotions it made it difficult to decipher one from the next. "Do you have any idea what that was like for me?" His voice was quiet. "Watching those men drag you away at gunpoint and me being unable to even help you? I thought you were going to die, Chloe."
There was a long moment of silence. Of course he was blaming himself and of course him not being able to protect her was a big part of this whole thing, "I'm sorry it happened the way it did." She wished he hadn't been around at all when it happened, "but you can't keep kicking yourself because of it, worse things have happened, Oliver and it's over." At least for now.
She stared at him for a long moment then took a deep breath, shaking her head, "I know you're worried, but having someone following me, following both of us? Sounds a little excessive." And yet, Clark would probably be acting the same way.
He stared back at her for just as long. "Tell me something. If Clark was the one insisting on following you around to keep you safe, would we even be having this conversation right now?" His voice was quiet.
She frowned at his question, "yes, we would. I don't care who it is, Oliver, I'm not comfortable with it." She kept staring at him, trying to understand what his question meant.
His jaw tightened slightly and he couldn't help but feel she was lying--not necessarily to him, but to herself. He nodded every-so-slightly and looked away, falling silent.
Chloe took a deep breath and rubbed a hand over her, as much as she didn't like the fact he had told people to follow her without letting her know he was doing it, she knew he had had good intentions and that he was worried about her safety.
"Oliver," She said after a long moment, looking down then at him again, "I know that you're trying to protect me, but you can't just... do things like that, especially without telling me." She paused, "That's not how this works."
"I already told you my suggestion," She said, keeping her eyes on his, "but if a communicator isn't good enough for you, then I guess we'll have to think of something else." She didn't know why it wouldn't be good, all she hard to do was press a button and either Clark or Bart could be there in less than a second.
