Oliver glanced at his cell phone when it rang, and when he saw his wife's number flash across the screen, a smile touched his face. He picked it up and pressed it to his ear as he finished saving the work he'd done on his computer. "Hey, Beautiful."

Chloe sighed and leaned back against her seat, rubbing a hand over her face, "I met a little girl who goes to Lea and Noah's school, she was outside of the school because today she had gym class and she can't go to class on a 'long sleeve day'," Chloe told him, taking a deep breath, "she's being abused, Ollie, and although I have no way of proving it, I think it's by her dad."

He was silent for a moment, rubbing a hand over his forehead. "I don't know," he admitted. This definitely wasn't the kind of thing they usually dealt with. And he knew she was right--it would take ages before social services or the legal system would do anything if they ever actually did--and by then it could very well be too late.

Chloe dropped her phone on her lap and nodded, "the kids will be out soon, I'll research when I get home, right now, the only thing I can think of is if they catch her dad in the act..."
