DVR help?

Srsly? I don't know why we needed to switch our TV and phone service. Now we have a new house number and I have no idea what channels are which. But whatever. (I'm more peeved that no one told me this was happening today) More importantly, everything on the DVR maybe gone.

Does anyone know anything about DVRs? Can we play from it or record it onto a disc?

Also, this had better not mess up my interwebz!
