Bit o' rambly update-ness.
Am currently watching the Order of the Phoenix right now (I hadn't seen it or the Half-Blood Prince). :) ...I'm house-sitting and the people I'm sitting for are being kind enough to let me use their car, in which they'd left the audiobook for the Prisoner of Azkaban and I've been listening to that basically every time I've been in the car these past few days. With a long-ish drive to and from work I've gotten in quite a lot of listening and I have to say, it's been pretty fun listening to someone read a book. I may have to seek out some other audiobooks.
So yeah, having a bit of a Harry Potter kick. Might even get that last book read this summer.
Harry/Ron = so adorable. :) Ron/Hermione is pretty adorable too now that they're getting older and all awkward.
Somehow it's easier to feel sorry for Snape with Alan Rickman to put on that angry, bitter exterior. Such a poor wounded woobie inside.
Also, the movie seems to be quite heavy on the James Potter/Sirius Black vibes. Dude. I would so slash that. Heh.
I also watched Felicia Day's series, The Guild the last couple days. So hi-larious. I highly recommend it.
What else... Oh! I got to go to my favorite bookstore in town-- though it's a bit sad that it's not all crazy, musty and wacky as used bookstores should be. It's all commercial and well run now! What were they thinking! (Though, I suppose it's a bit easier to find things now. Heh. It just doesn't have that proper Used Book Store feel to it anymore.)
Also, one more thing! The local bread place had what they called Red White and Blue bread this weekend-- SO GOOD. White bread with strawberries and blueberries baked in it. Serious yum. I also got to try a slice of peanut butter chocolate chip bread which was some serious yum as well. Which reminds me of the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie that I had the day before that. Now that was some serious yum. Why is that not a massively marketed cookie??? How could it not be?? Like a Reese's peanut butter cup...only in delicious cookie form!
Mmm.
And that, I can safely say are the highlights of my weekend, along with a little kitty-sitting on the side. I've got tomorrow off too though so that's also marvelous.
